Has anyone considered DBR9 Green or Almond Green alongside AMR or Alloro Green?

What is your view on the above? With yellow accent or not? With dark rims or not?

In 2 days I hope to see some live sample at the factory, as I am clueless on how they look for real

I'd missed this but Aston Martin entered a GT8 in the second round of the VLN at the Nurburgring - it finished second in its class, 25th overall (and interestingly fastest lap was 44 seconds faster than a v12 vantage s that they had also entered).

Also the fastest lap was 15 seconds faster than the fastest gt12 lap in last years n24 (albeit those times aren't entirely comparable).

Graham, that looks mean and fabulous. Congratulations and bet you can't wait. When should you get it.
Hi Ian

Factory indicating early October made a small change today and they told me that's it as the build is starting.

Regards

Graham

Thanks Rob, found the below having a search as well updated yesterday for this weekend

For the second time in the car's short history, Aston Martin's GT4 derived road car cum racing car - the Vantage GT8 shall compete again at this weekends VLN meeting as a full dress rehearsal for its appearance at the Nurburgring 24Hr in two weeks time.

For VLN3 at least, gone has the cars carbon black carbon weave birthday suit to be replaced with a gorgeous green and luminous yellow livery together with sponsor branding - Nexcel, a Castrol Oil product used within the company Vulcan super car.

Being entered under the Aston Martin Test Centre banner the #133 car is due to be driven again this weekend by Test Centre driver Peter Cate together with Dr. Florian Kamelger, an orthopaedic surgeon with direct racing links with long standing Swiss based customer team - Aston Martin St Gallen.

We understand that the GT8's driver line up for the N24 will be announced by the company at some point next week. The two drivers taking part at the VLN this weekend do figure in the cars provisional entry although the third name of AMR works driver Darren Turner may become fairly 'fluid' as he is already committed to the factory GT3 car with fellow works drivers Nicki Thiim, Marco Sorensen and Pedro Lamy in the #007 SP9 class car.

Both factory GT3's will sit out VLN3 having had a successful outing at VLN2 a couple of weeks ago but both full season entries from Avia Racing and Team Mathol Racing and their Vantage GT4's shall be there.

Either AMR Green or Alloro Green would look amazing with or without graphics, dark rims and Yellow calipers. You can't go wrong with these colors that recall Astons heritage of the past. These elegant cars are ruined with trendy fluorescent greens, oranges or blues.

Finally made my choice after countles hours of research!

Aston Martin Racing Green
Exposed CF, no accent
Yellow brake calipers
7'spoke rims, satin black, no centre-lock

Will look very similar to this GT12:

Karlfranz, your car looks awesome. Is it a v12 or a v8 with a v12 bonnet?
Also do have spacers, and is the car lowered? The wheels fit perfectly.

PS great picture.

The spec we have gone for, Skyfall Silver is the main colour and it will be a little lighter in person

Beautiful smile

I did just look at it on the configurator and added carbon roof and mirrors.
It really suits it with your spec.

Did you consider it?

Thank you smile

We didn't really consider the carbon roof, we weren't fans of it with the silver. The carbon mirrors were also an option but I think as a whole the budget was stretched too far already!!

Thanx. No, there are no spacers and ride height is standard with optional AM lightweight wheels. Maybe it's the picture angle.

Thank you, spent countless hours considering all shades of green and blue and various accent but finally made it last Friday!

I am still undecided on two minor stuff:

CF mirrors? (will look good as they will add some carbon on the top of the car, alongside the rear Wing...but also in AMR green the car will look very balanced)
700w stereo? (don't wont it, but apparently many have opted for it)

What do you think guys?
