The GT8! Carbon fibre bodied £200K 440BHP 7 Speed V8.
Discussion
Sensible offers on the GT12 will be considered. Price dictated by owner as it is on sale or return and he is in no rush to sell. We started high as there was nothing to benchmark it against. There are only 30 ish cars in the UK and no other RHD on sale. RRP of the car new was £300k. I've driven it and it is an angry beast. The noise is epic. Don't knock it til you've tried it🙂

I'm not at all surprised £500k was very cheeky - particularly with the gt8 coming
I think the question you have to ask yourself is this - how low would the gt12 have to come price-wise before you cancelled your gt8 order and bought one instead? Yes it's a v12 with more power. But on the downside it's not got a manual gearbox (which is a major turn-off for me) and that v12 puts a lot of extra weight over the front end - the gt8 should handle better
One thing is certain nobody was rushing to switch from the gt8 with a £300k premium (when the car was on at £500k) and I would be amazed if anyone cancelled to buy it at 425k. If it gets below £300k I might be tempted depending on colour and spec
All this is is a general slow down in sales, could be to do with Brexit its always something, lets see if it passes.I think the question you have to ask yourself is this - how low would the gt12 have to come price-wise before you cancelled your gt8 order and bought one instead? Looking at this photograph made me realise, why buyers of the GT8 models need to be bold with colours and specification.
At first glance, I thought this car was 'just' a standard V8 Vantage, with an aftermarket front splitter. It appears to be in one of the popular standard colours, and is without a rear wing.
Does anyone agree with my interpretation?

Didn't know about this one, is it a AM-owned car?
I would say it was a test car. It had the PSI above each tyres and each tyre had side and axle on it. Such as FR, FLAlso it had the holes for the spoiler but they had been covered up with a bit of tape.
Also there was a Merc AMG GTS near it with quite a lot of trim missing wonder if its the new engine on test.

According to the very nice Aston chap on duty by the GT8 inside it was indeed a test car.
He preferred it without the aeropack as allegedly it made testing easier without the attention although conceeded the noise was a bit of a give away.
Jon , it was totally " invisible " as you say, as a GT8, but I doubt anyone has actually ordered one like that.

Thanks guys. Now make sense! When I saw the pics I thought it was the test mule with a paint job doneHe preferred it without the aeropack as allegedly it made testing easier without the attention although conceeded the noise was a bit of a give away.

90/95% apparently was ordered with Aero, there are definitely a very few ones out there with no aero pack

Or
If you are asking for forum opinion Rob, my preference is for the lighter blue.
Lighter colours often reveal more detail, particularly in photographs.
I am pleased to assume you are friends again with your dealer. Your post about the problems has gone.
I'd prefer the frosted glass blue for that reason Jon - think it will show off the detail better (and while I like midnight blue I had that on my db9, so a change would be nice). My hesitation is that there are no frosted glass cars yet (it's a new db 11 colour) so I can't see what it looks like on a car - just the mould. Oh and convincing AML not to charge a fortune as it bares a resemblance to Gulf colours...
