..well It was apparently rainy on Saturday... still a good effort for Darren and the GT8 (leaving aside the 4WDs)

Especially as it was bucketing down as Darren made his run! Three runs later, there was a dry line, so just bad luck! Think it would have been around 60 seconds on a dry run......https://www.goodwood.com/grrc/event-coverage/festi...
Unfortunately Q are quite slow to respond - I was warned about this when I started going down the route. Most of the prices seem to rely upon then consulting suppliers for costs, which I found odd when it was things like existing Q fabrics and stitching as I thought the sewing was all inhouse?
Anyway all that said I did get all the prices eventually, albeit 3-4 weeks sounds about in-line with what I went through. I think the trouble is they spend a lot of time and effort chasing quotes for customers that they are prepared to stand by, only to find it's a dead end as those customers turn them down on the basis of the cost being too high.
To be fair its probably easiest to avoid Q completely if you can, but then I do totally understand the desire to make the car perfectly as you want it given its such an expense and rare thing already!

Thought I would post up this rather unusual GT12 spotted recently to help you GT8 chaps with your colour deliberations! Rather a lot of the expensive red CF!

Thanks ever so much for posting - a nice little read, plus a HUGE number of hi-res photos included of both cars. Probably the most pictures I have seen of either so far! http://www.automobilemag.com/news/aston-martin-van...

I'm slightly surprised that the car they seem to be using for the European press is one with the sport shift gearbox; would have thought the press cars would be all manuals. Or does that reflect European buyers mostly opting for the paddle shift?
I suspect its simply down to the fact thats its the only press car available right now.Manual is the way to go!
Cheers for the photo - looks great, but assuming it's not Frosted Glass (given its a 2014 car) but something close to? Still gives a good impression hopefully of what it will look like, getting very excited now
Hoping to hear back in the next 2 weeks as to when the build date might be
