The GT8! Carbon fibre bodied £200K 440BHP 7 Speed V8.
Discussion
I think it's probably just the luck of the draw but I was told by my dealer that all of the London-derived cars are towards the back of the build schedule (think yours may be the first). Not sure whether that's really the case or not, but that photo would seem to support it
Still hopefully once building is complete we can get a large gathering of gt8s together somewhere

Can't wait to collect my car in January. It would be great to have a Gt8 meet.
A practical question for those lucky enough to already be driving their cars: does the car clear speed bumps with the additional splitter fixed to front as part of the aero kit. My dealer said something about him having to fit it but it being easily unbolted - which he mentioned in the context of speed bumps. I would rather leave it in place if it's not an issue.
Thanks for any help with this one

Just back from the factory. Before I attack the to do list my wife has given me for Xmas ,a brief update.
Seeing it for the first time all niggling worries over colour vanished - long ( very long ) story short I decided originally I wanted to go off piste and asked for Peridot based on Porsches launch colour for their Cayman R.
After protracted negotiations ( and cost debates ) with Q we all agreed terms but I was still slightly curious to see if it would actually happen. It is the first time in Aston's history that a car has been painted in Peridot apparently ( yes I know there might be a reason for that ) and it still needs some additional painting of mirrors and rear panel etc in satin black to match the wheels plus a few other bits.
It will also have some additional alcantara work inside.
Definitely marmite but very very pleased with the result.
The lighting wont do it justice anyway so will obviously post when all the work done.
Met with Andy Palmer too which only added to the occasion.

It looks absolutely fantastic, I love it! Hope to see it in the flesh one day.
Do tell us more about the interior Q options...
Frankie , well we knew it was brave but it looks even better in reality. The Barista reckons they will get it in Jan.
Adam, it wont match Kermit for greeness -think yellow green ( or the aftermath of Chernobyl ) and unlike you I wont be driving it daily so can cope with the occasional attraction it will no doubt draw.It will have the low console alcantared and the gear lever and gaiter too.

I'm familiar with the Cayman-R Peridot Green (and the Porsche Birch and Acid Greens which are also very similar to Peridot) - it's a really nice colour and a great choice for a GT8 I think!Adam, it wont match Kermit for greeness -think yellow green ( or the aftermath of Chernobyl ) and unlike you I wont be driving it daily so can cope with the occasional attraction it will no doubt draw.It will have the low console alcantared and the gear lever and gaiter too.
I too went for an Alcantara gaiter and knob, but then at the last min changed the spec to be a alcantara gaiter with a leather knob as I was pretty much 50:50 alcantara and leather in the rest of the cabin, and as a DD felt the leather knob would resist sweat/oil better. Still very happy with it though and feels like it lifts the cabin further to coordinate such little items, as I have always been a little frustrated with the fact AM use the base cheapo leather on the gear gaiter as std, even if the rest of the cabin has one of the superior grades. The cost was quite reasonable too, I'm sure you will agree.
Would love to see pics of the alcantara low console - that sounds really interesting. Did you add any stitching too? I was a little disappointed to see it has no stitch as std, unlike the high line, but I never thought to ask about adding stitch, mainly because I was leaving that bit leather in my spec. Wish I had now though...
In fact what colour stitching have you gone with internally? The same Lime Green as me - I imagine it would work well with Peridot too?
Adam , I have an alcantara gear knob in my GT3 and so will go with that as i just like the feel of it.There is enough other alcantara in the cabin that means the ratio to leather is higher than in yours.
Will get that stitched in lime green yes.
Have the ski slope either side in lime green stitch plus the seats outer plus the door pulls in caithness leather lime green but although it worked I didn't want to go OTT.
I haven't decided on how the console will be stitched yet and whether its done by Q or Works ( the cost is very similar ) and either way fairly reasonable ( in the scheme of things ).
I am still deciding on whether or not to have the 12 o'clock on the steering wheel either stitched in lime green or a piece of leather put in - Q wanted £2k for this so I said no but am still thinking.

Top stuff! As someone said earlier on, its great that people are being bold with colour choices on their GT8s; it's not a design (or sound) for going incognito, so something distinctive and adventurous in the paint scheme seems 100% appropriate to me.
I'm hoping that as many of them as possible will be "unique", will make for some interesting meet-ups
