What is the H shaped item behind the grille for ?

That's to attach a license plate holder in the US.

It's part of the front crash structure. The duct for the air filters is mounted at the bottom of it. It's also tapped for the front number plate plinth to bolt onto. The oil cooler bolts onto the bottom of it also.

Genuine question - are there any sports/supercars out there with longer than 12 month service intervals?

Mercedes used to. That was until I became a customer.
Fairly low annual mileage means, the dashboard indicator only requires service every two years.

They want money, so it is now service every 12 months, for new Mercedes cars now.

If your Aston Martins are keepers Rob, obviously after the warranty period, you can do whatever you consider to be sensible.

Mileage seems like a better basis for service intervals (albeit with a back-up time dependent interval - you wouldn’t want a garage queen to go ten years between services).

For any GT8 Owners out there who aren’t in the Whatsapp group:

There’s a get-together being organised at Works Services for July 29th (Saturday). Bacon sandwiches, tour of the premises, celebrating DTs latest Le Mans win (fingers crossed), photos ops etc

So if you’re not in the Whatsapp group but are interested just post here or pm me, Fil or Alscar
