You gotta wonder if Q just pulls prices out of its ass or they simply don't want to do the work so they give it a stratospheric figure.

Apparently a lot of buyers in the far east are willing to pay regardless, so who can blame them.

What I find rather silly is that the whole car can be painted in a special Q paint for £3995, but the tiny calipers are £6594 (inc VAT). Hey ho, made the decision easy. smile

I agree, I mean its not hard you are paying £150k plus for a car they should be a bit more reasonable not take the piss out of there customers. Not even Ferrari charge that amount.

Its just anti-business if you ask me, as if I do want another colour Ill just pay the dealer/local expert to do it for a fraction of that, but had they charged a reasonable amount may have gone with it. As I say there are those who will pay it, so...

Anyway, overnight after looking at the two samples quite a lot we're going back to take another look at Cinnabar this morning as its definitely making a late comeback, so going to ask to borrow that mould too. Quite surprisingly Kermit has grown on the mrs too, so its all up in the air again! laugh

Need to spend a bit more time looking at interior samples again while we are there.

AM have given me an extension to a week on Monday to get a spec in, which I feel is a timescale I can work to.

The Kermit is very 'lambo' , doesn't quite sit right on an Aston .

Regardless of color,Im jealous, the only car I would swap for at the moment.

Does the Kermit green have any depth to it? It looks very solid/flat. I think the others look better with a lot more flake on it. Could they mix up a green in a similar shade, but with flake in it like Cinnibar?

Funny colour green, not that popular as people think green car unlucky.
But on rare cars it make no difference so green Lambo stunning,... green RS porsche the same. I have seen one green 458 as well but Astons seem to be in the darker greens.
Mind you in my mind now Kermit, black roof and tailgate, satin wheels, green calipers i, ve bought it.biggrin.
Sorry i,m no help at all.

Could it be, that Mr. Q does not want orange calipers to be seen on an Aston Martin ?

OK, Montana now out of the running so it's down to just Kermit or Cinnabar.

Did two full combos with interior colours as below.

Common to both - Pure black leather trim and seat outers, pure black alcantara seat inners and door cards and roof outer, obsidian black alcantara door/seats stripes steering wheel and roof inner.
Kermit paint would be with lime green stitch, Cinnabar paint with California Poppy stitch.

Based on your new shortlist I would have to go Kermit. But there are lots of other more traditional (and yet still striking) Aston Greens you could consider, but don't want to confuse you given you have managed to narrow it down this far!

Out of those two I think I'd go for the Cinnabar, I normally love loud colours like the green but somehow it doesn't seem a very 'Aston-y' colour to me.

Out of interest, did you consider Ocellus Teal? For me that has to be the pick of the current colour range.

I'm still camp Cinnabar, however kermit does look pretty good when laid out with the pure black.

Montana was your best choice.
Cinnabar is nothing so you gotta go Kermit Green now.

Cheers guys, yes I've considered lots of greens but ruled them all out in favour of Kermit.

Kermit is a flat colour but this gives it a consistancy of look in various lighting conditions whereas Cinnabar looks different everytime I look at it and not always in a positive way.

We are both 50:50 on these two now which is good. Pretty stunned at the turnaround from the mrs now we have the moulds!

JCT love Kermit and have said they are going to get a stock car (prob a V8VS) in it if I dont order it on this one!
