Not a fan of Ocellus teal, and neither me or the mrs really fancied any blue - well except perhaps Flugplatz,

but I wanted something even rarer.

Even rarer eh?
There is only one Grigio Titanio V12V in the UK, but you probably don't want grey.

Choosing your specification is clearly not easy.
Do you plan to keep your new car for a few years?
If so, you presumably need to be certain, that you will still like your colour in a few years time.

If there is one already, then its already not rare enough! wink Besides, read post #1 - no silvers or greys in this house! tongue out

Plan is to keep it a long time, end of an era car V12, na, manual etc... and all that! Only time will tell however...

Check out British racing green. A rich and sophisticated colour that has history in British motorsports. Rarely seen on the road. The reserved colour fits astons well

Hello David,

This therefore must be your car, without soap suds. A beauitiful colour, that really twinkles in sunshine. My Grigio is 'only' a V8. Well done for obtaining a unique car. (This photograph was from a previous sale.)

Two further bits of good new / progress from Q today.

Black decal packs still available through Q, and pricing is identical to current model year options, i.e. £995 for roof, £495 for tailgate and £495 for mirrors. I haven't asked for lipstick but would assume it would also be the same on this basis.

Details of Alcantara dash areas confirmed too (via a diagram) - it is indeed identical to the zones covered in the Sport Plus pack!

Cheers, getting very close indeed, just a couple of things to sort out with Q.
  • Zagato wheels - I am kidding myself really that these are going to be acceptably priced, but...
  • Alcantara / Lime stitch gearstick gaiter
  • Obsidian Black Alcantara door/seat stripes - which I want to tie in with the steering wheel and roof inner, and differentiated from/ highlight to Pure Black dash and Seats inners.
Still 100% on Kermit - can't believe I have settled on it as it felt like the wild outsider at one point, but those pshop pics I did for myself changed my mind almost instantly and not looked back since (well not much!) wink

Hi Adam,

Check out Zag wheels available here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-19-GENUINE-Aston-Mar...

They also have a 'make an offer' option, so could be worth a punt?

In fact, if somebody wants some V12VS wheels for their V12V / V8V, you could do a deal with them? I.e. you spec your car with the wheel style/colour they want, sell them your V12VS wheels and (depending on what you sell them for) you only pay the difference between that and the Zag wheels.

OR.. use the stock wheels for winter or track day tyres...?

Cheers, yeah I saw that a few weeks ago when it was posted here - the biggest trouble is that there are only 2, well that and he wants £3500 each for them! yikes

I also want them in Gloss black, so there would be additional cost in painting them. These are what I ideally want:

However as they are very likely going to cost a small fortune, these are what I will most likely end up with:

The std free wheels, then painted Gloss Black with Gloss centres - cost about £700!

As much as I like the lightweight satin black wheels, Im struggling to see another £3100 in them (price £3800) over those above.

I would love to know the actual weight of each of the types of wheel - might help me justify the cost to myself if I could see a significant unsprung weight saving.

I dont find those Zagato wheels to be too expensive if they are indeed completely new.
They are very rare and in the future will become even harder to get.
For my 550 maranello I paid more than double for a set of 18inch modular barchetta-style orginal wheels... wobble

It says in the description that its for a set of 4, and I presume the quantity means 2 sets of 4 wheels? Might be worth messaging him to clarify. I'm sure they will be a hell of a lot cheaper than what Q will charge.

Ooooo, I never actually read the description to see its a full set of 4! I agree that's likely to be less than Q, so I will send him a message, cheers!

I met Dave withe Zagato wheels yesterday at Bamford Rose as he was kindly delivering a set for me.

I'm a big fan of them and am looking forward to my car coming back wearing them along with the fun performance bits from BR.

Good guy, 100% legit product, he can talk you through his connections to Aston.

3500 is indeed a full set. Give him a call to discuss, number is on his ebay ad.

Are the roof and taillight infill really decals or are they actually painted gloss black? If it's only the former, I would suggest getting it done anywhere else that does vinyl wraps. It really would look way better if they are painted, though.

I'm sure you'd be able to sell the standard V12S wheels for very good money, so as others have said that will really offset the cost.

Job done I reckon thumbup
