Thank you Adam!I've put about 150 miles on mine since I picked it up this weekend.
Absolutely awesome car. Most fun car i've had. Yes the gears are in the wrong place but you get used to it if you're thinking about what you are doing and put a fair few miles on the car.In terms of power it's very overpowered, and a real handful to drive as a result. I'm driving at about 20 degrees celcius and can lose traction in gears 1-4, must be really tricky at close to freezing on corsas in the uk. Makes it a total giggle to drive.
If anyone is delaying on getting one based on journos I'd say ignore them. If you can drive a manual the gearbox is great and if in doubt am shift makes you sound like you know what you are doing. I was initially very skeptical of it (didnt like the porche variant on a 911s stick) but rather like it.
It's not as fast as the v12 sportshift but then I don't track my car(the noise is also better, wasn't expecting that, maybe it's a 2015 versus 2017 thing). In terms of smiles it's wins by a mile over the paddles for me.
I also have a dbs stick. Wonderful car but chalk and cheese on the performance. V12s seems another generation on.
