Cheers, no problem - occupational hazard! FFM said:
Great shots, love that Stirling green in that weather!
Thanks, I do like the look of the livery, the contrast with the lime green works well, on a race car at least...Dewi 1 said:
Thank you Dean for posting.
Your photographs are superb, as always.
I particularly like your shot of two Vantages, following one of the prototype class cars. That is a very rare photograph,
as I have found when searching following Le Mans races, and you have captured not one but two Aston Martins, brilliant.
Thanks very much! I had no idea it was such a rarity I'll try for 3 at Spa!Your photographs are superb, as always.

I went to a race meeting at Spa for the first time in 2014. What a wonderful circuit.
There was just one Aston Martin competing that weekend, the Horsepower Racing GT3. I will try to find the lap times of that car, to compare with the 2016 GTE cars.
After that visit, I had hoped to take part in the annual Aston Martin experience day at Spa. However, AML circuit events suddenly ended.
Best of luck to AMR at Spa.
Once again super pix Mr T, thank you and yes, the track times from Free practice 2 show less than a second splitting the top 4 Pro cars, in order 51 (AF corse) 97 (AMR) 71 (AF corse) and 95 (AMR). Our AMR 98 car lies 3rd in the Am class with less than a second splitting the top 3. So, thats more than enough to set my stomach butterflies off,,,hoping for a great race and a great result for our Aston Martin Racing team.

Good news! Hopefully these gaps will be maintained in the actual raceMr.Tremlini said:

Have you discovered that you can drive (public roads) on the pre-1970s original track?
There is even a banked section.
Thanks, I didn't know that! I'll try and find time to "track" it down tomorrow before I head to the airport. Should be an experience in a Citroen C1...There is even a banked section.
Should it help save you time tomorrow, here is how to find the original circuit.
From the roundabout at the circuit (northern) entrance, take the N62 towards Burnenville. The old track will join from your right (it leaves the circuit at Turn 5). Follow the N68 (beware the Masta kink. It was said to be flat, but caught out a few of our past heros). Soon after the junction with the N664, take a right turn on to the banked corner. The old track continues on and rejoins at Turn 15. Your ticket might allow you to re-enter the circuit near there at the transporter entrance. If so, you can quickly reach the main entrance again.
I hope you have time to do this. It gave me a great feeling, of driving in the wheeltracks of very brave racing drivers from another era.
