Annoying Rattle

Hi All,
I have collected my AM V8 from winter storage now and one again enjoying it BUT it seems to have developed a very annoying rattle as you go along. It seems to be behind me but I cant seem to find anything loose etc
Has anyone else exp this?

I must say on a positive note the Headers and twin plate clutch the DAE fitted over the winter has made a huge difference to the car - should have been like that from day one I would say. Ive also had the gear box first to second gear mod completed and can positively say it works!!


Just got to sort tis dam rattle out now so any ideas and feedback would be much appreciated

Maybe, take it back to DAE, and ask them to put it up on a ramp to see if they left anything touching the exhaust [around the gearbox area], or undertray etc???

Have a look under the cover behind the seats, the towing eye and a few other bits are there IIRC. Also worth checking the parcel shelf is locked in place, pull the red cloth tab and re-engage the thingmy jibs. Another thing to check is where the tyre gunk etc is - it is held on by a velcro loop. That is also metal in places and can bang around.

Check the exhaust heat shields as I had a similar thing on my V8

finally got the vantage over the pit today and yes it was the exhaust shield just touching!!

the noise was driving me mad!!

Glad you found the problem, I had a similar but different rattle that turned out to be the tailgate. Maybe we should have a 'common rattles' wiki?
