About £105k at todays exchange so yes a good price but it is a private sale. LHD would not bother me.

Tried giving him a call for more info...no answer.
This one has been up there for a while.
He dropped the price 20k euro, so just wants to shift it.
Im pretty sure a dealer is going to pick this up and put it back on the market for 165k euro shortly.

I don't like the cheap looking silver stripe with AML wings badge and car number behind the seats but I think you could remove that if it's a sticker. Apart from that car looks great with lightweight carbon bucket seats. I might have gone for that at this price if I hadn't bought mine.

- Car has been involved in damage to the front: he was very open about it
- Claims the car has been fully repaired by AM dealer. Bills as proof.
- Total repair bill was 42K euro.

That's a lot of damage. And I write as someone who has front-ended a V12V (albeit at 4mph) and that cost £15,000...

I'd want to see the bills and get the car examined on an alignment rig and looked at by a decent independent engineer. If it passed, buy it!

Good that he is open about it, but... Does accident free on that site mean it's not currently damaged?

I assumed that it would mean it doesn't have an accident in it's history too, not just that it's been fixed.

Yes and no.
Yes as its a big amoun, but no if you change all the parts instead of just repairing them. Imagine a new hood, headlights, cooler, etc etc. Plus labor plus VAT.

But fully agree. Anyone interested in this car needs to do a full examination, not a BS 111 points check.
you need to take the entire front-end off and examine everthing closely.
If it is straight and the repair work has been carried out by AM then I think its still a good deal.

Well, yes but no. Remember, the carbon is pretty much unrepairable. And aluminium is also very hard to repair. So any bill is only really for parts and fitting. And AML dealers don't generally repair, they just follow the workshop manual and replace.

Well actually no, I'm taking that back. Not interested in a car that's been involved in an accident unless it is really minor which isn't the case with this car, even if it has been properly repaired.
Very honest from the seller to mention it straight away though.

I have the same feeling. Somehow I think I would soon forget the sweet taste of money saved and remain with the bitter feeling of knowing it has been in an accident....

There is good news in this for V12VR owners: now there are only a maximum of 100 undamaged V12VRs left

Yeah youre right in that sense.
Basically he spent a (high mileage)V8V fixing a V12V....
