DBS residuals - anybody see into the future?
Discussion
Bins,
Looking at one tomorrow! At least if you still like it on a rainy day that says a lot.
As has been said: If you can get hold of the money (by selling it - if you really need it) then that could equate to 'family' maths.
The running costs will just become normal, plus the searching for baryons will be fun.
Let us know how you get on.

Good luck today Mike...let us know how you get on. I wouldn't get too hung up regarding the CC brakes. Most evidence points to them being not only excellent, but also pretty robust. If you were really concerned, you could always switch them for a set of steel discs and switch back when, or more likely if, you come to sell.

Mark stop posting on random subjects and please let us know how you got on with the DBS. It is not good enough leaving us hanging like some Pistonheads TYRO. Details required!!!!
Hello Darren Well, I'd already driven a very good friend of mine's DBS some years ago (AMDBSNICK) so knew what to expect, but time had wiped off some of the detail......
The DBS is magnificent in every respect. Stating the blindingly obvious, the V12 is an entirely different proposition to my previous V8V. You've already made that change so you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. I spent the early part of the test drive battling with the traction control on very greasy roads - a combination of conditions and my Jaaaag turbo diesel right foot. As soon as I remapped my brain and stopped over controlling, the power delivery was quite startling. The dynamic damping was, I thought, a revelation and with all Astons, the sense of occasion was magnificent.
I'm totally besotted with the car and want to buy it right now, but I have to consider the effects on my domestic situation, so with that in mind, negotiations continue and the UN are on standby..........watch this space.

Well from my perspective changing to the V12 Vantage was the best thing I could of done. I have now ended up with a car I really want to keep forever. I loved my V8 roadster but this is on a different level. I had to justify the substantial extra outlay for a car I do not use that much but I think long term these cars will slowly start to increase in value. Some people are able to buy these cars without much thought but with a young family and a lack of time this purchase for me took a lot of thinking about but I have no regrets at all. Find the cash and get it bought you will never regret it.
