....that's the conclusion I have come to as well, which makes it very expensive! Leaving the laptop open with a V12 Vantage on it did me no favours with the other half. Schoolboy error but could have been worse, I suppose..

Bins, an excellent choice of car and well done. I can't see manual DBS's dropping much in value at all and indeed may well move upwards.

Now, are you planning to make it as loud as your V8V...which is still the loudest I've heard! cool

Ahhhh, the old 'inadvertent evidence' trick to guage the response. I've used that to great effect before. You need to drive one matey. It's an entirely different proposition to the V8.

Thanks Frankie!
I don't think there's any way it could be as loud as my V8! That said, it does have a Quicksilver back box on it so it's a little more lively than the norm......

im looking at this car, called the dealer and he sayed the first 2 stamps are AM dealers and the rest are BBO service stamps. Do you think BBO stamps would effect future value and future re-sale?

I don't know anything about BBO per SE, so couldn't really comment on residuals. If they are a well known AM specialist, then it should be fine but if they aren't, it may well have an effect.

Nice car. Great colour, manual and 2+2 with very low miles...not many of those around. Haven't heard of BBO but the guy has been at Lancasters, HR Owen and HWM, so he sounds as if he's qualified enough. I know an issue like this for a Porsche for example would rarely be seen as a negative, indeed some argue that specialists know more about the older cars than current Porsche technicians. I guess it would come down to personal preference, but it's not something that would bother me too much, particularly as it has done so few miles. I own a very similar DBS and it took me 18 months to find the right one (manual 2+2 in the colour I wanted).

If it's someone on here that's got the manual Volante coming from Autotrader, good work. Sounds like a steal to me.

James,

I nearly bought a Vantage from BBO. Nick was very helpful and they have a good setup near Henley. He seemed to be very busy and I think he also used to prep some AM race cars.

He seemed to know his beans.

Bins,

Mrs Rappa said that if you end up getting divorced over this then we're taking sides with your wife!!

You should get the money in a cash pile of tenners, then take a photo of that pile next to the car and see which one goes fastest.

Going back to your thread title Binz then I think maybe someone has....
I understand there were 16 DBS's for sale last week - Now only 13 - along with 4 DBSV's of which 2 have been sold. Almost seems like a 'group buy' may be going on scratchchin

Seems to me that DBS are very quickly becoming THE car to have - Which can only be good news for the lucky ones amongst us - Happy days

Tony, I think you may be right, there is a bit of a DBS frenzy going on - I like to think I was the catalyst! The residuals are of course an unknown, but surely so many 'intelligent' men couldn't be so wrong, could they?? wink. wink

Judging by the calibre of people who have recently bought a DBS, to answer Mark's original question, I can only think that residuals are going to be hit hard biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
