Nice to see cockers stretching the legs of the McLaren wink
Problem is Mikey, the Mclaren has a hesitation in the throttle pick up and trouble with cornering at speed. It is called Tracy smile

Enjoy, Benders smile
Jockers, it was all the free drink and food on the 28m Sunseeker that did it wink.
'Free' you say.....hmmm.

Remember it's a BOAT. Not a BOWT.

Today we have driven 7 hours on the most awesome roads across The Alps. I have no idea of their names but part of it was Route Napoleon. The sun shone and the roads were empty. The noise with the roof down and the decat pipes cannot be matched by anything nono I have a very sun burnt head but boy was it worth it. Cockers, I'm sure, will be along with the exact route when he has stopped planning the next one biggrin

As Steve said we started in San Sebastian here

We then went for lunch at Martin Berasategui

We had some wine

The next day we headed for Carcassone

And stopped off at Le Domaine d'Auriac

We then set off towards Nice and found some more awesome roads

We stayed 30 minutes from Nice at Chateau Saint Martin which had some rather pleasant views biggrin

In the morning we got a taxi and train to here

And spent the afternoon on here (Thank you Sunseeker for your hospitality)

Monday morning we set off for Vienne via Route Napoleon (I think) on some epic roads

We used a lot of this

In Vienne we stayed at La Pyramide

We set off again via Meursault as a couple of us enjoy their wine

Towards Etoges and stayed here (Mikey K recommendation)

We nipped out for a tasting here

On the way home we stopped off here

If we were honest there were a few too many motorway miles but the routes across the Pyrenees and Alps more than made up for that. If you have not done the Monaco Historique it's a must. The noise and smell of those old cars is amazing. We had access to the paddock and the owners/teams were all happy to chat about their passion, do it. The racing is awesome.

You may have noticed we had an interloper.

John Cockernee Gladman is our route planner and without his endless passion for Tom Tom's nerd this trip would simply not have worked.

Cheers, John bow
