In August we are off camping in Scotland - Jura, Islay and Arran. I'm looking for a rucksack that I can carry some gear in - 5d3, 24-105 L f/4, 17-40 L f/4 and Mk 1 100-400 L f/4.5 - f/5.6, as well as waterproofs and some dinner! Any ideas?

Are you walking a lot?

I find F-Stop do a great range, not cheap though, you pick the bag thats right for you (I have a Loca UL, max's carry on size) then add the specific inner(s) you want. So I can have a Large pro ICU in the Loca UL and carry a lot of gear ( 6d, a7r, 16-35, 24, 14, 50, pano head etc) and waterproofs + water bladder, or I could use a small or medium and take overnight gear.

I've got a large Lowepro and it's very adjustable, very comfortable, has a rain cover stashed away, room for everything. Now and again I'll have a look at other rucksacks, out of interest, but haven't seen anything close to being as good. However, it wasn't cheap.

Maybe take a look at this sort of thing?

Very strongly made, comfortable and with a little ingenuity can be tailored for your kit.

Mooch a tackle shop and try one out.

Much cheaper too.

Another vote for FStop I've got the Satori EXP, which is large, I had that with the smallest camera module for backpacking in central america a few years back.

Look no further than the evoc CP35L. Fits my 400mm f/2.8, is designed for snowboarding and mountainbiking so it's comfortable to wear and will outlast anything from the likes of Lowepro.
