Black Grill Project
Discussion
With all the recent discussions on removing grill slats and going from Silver to black I really fancy a try.
I currently have a 8 bar bright grill which I like and had to twist the dealers arm for so I don't want to damage it, I have looked
into Plasti Dip but would prefer to have it powder coated as it should be more durable.
I have been looking out for a second hand standard grill but non available on ebay.
Surely with everyone upgrading to Bright, Black and Carbon V12VS grills there must be loads in the back of garages so if anyone has one they want to sell please drop me a mail.

I have a 8 bar sat in my garage! but undecided on the V12S Carbon Grille I put on.....
PlastiDip is really durable if you put a few coats on, its surprising how good it is! The good thing is if you change your mind in a year or 2 you can just peel it off, unlike powder coating. The other issues with powder coating is that you will have to do each individual slat as the back part of the grille is plastic, and you might damage the coating when you re-assemble.
PlastiDip all the way if I was doing it.

Hi Mark
Thank you for the insight on Plasti Dip, if you are thinking of selling the Carbon one let me know as I thought it looked really good on Sunday at Aston Martin.
Can you let me know which day is best next week to sort out the Side Strakes as I can only do Tuesday or Friday now due to work.
regards

Plas dip is the best way mine has been on over 12 months now and still looks like the day I sprayed it. Great product as as said it can be easily removed if you don't like it or if you want to return to standard.
+1 - Done over 10,000 miles with mine and not a mark on it..I just want to say thank you to everyone especially Lewis, I now have a spare grill and plasti dip on order.
