Come on this is not much money for a good day £10.00 and £5.00 goes to Burghley 96 donations thank you but some have donated 2/3 times so this is not 96 people. PLEASE GIVE ED A BOOST AND DONATE A LITTLE MORE PLEASE HE HAS PUT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME,EFFORT AND MONEY INTO THIS.
Amazing isn't it and I've posted on this before. 600 cars and only 90 people contributed. One can only assume Aston Martin owners a tight fisted bunch. If you can't shame people into dipping into their pockets what can you do! p.s. And I know some remarkable people have contributed hundreds of pounds in just one donation and hats off to them!

The big push before D Day is under way.
We made £11,132.20 back in 2014 with 246 cars present.
Can you help me find the £723.19 we need to match that figure before we get to the 3rd of July please……………...

Hey folks, please can you help Ed reach his target before the big day. I know some of you are planning to donate, so if we can get to last years total before the actual day, that would be awesome, then who knows what the final amount will be on the day. The sky the limit. We made £11,132.20 back in 2014 with 246 cars present.

I have worked with Ed and heard much of what has gone on behind the scenes. The amount of work he has had to do and those around him is just insane. So, if you are thinking of donating to his very worthy cause, please do so before the big day. I know it would mean so much to him. Don't forget to dig deep!
The big push is now on as we approach D Day.
We made a total of £11,132.20 for charity back in 2014 with only 246 cars present that day.
Can you help me find the still required figure of £513.44 that we need to match that figure before we get to the 3rd of July please.
If you want to be my hero just visit here to make my miserable efforts feel all the more worthwhile: http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV
As Mickrapide pointed out in an earlier post, some now 98 donations have now been received and several from people who return to help further so it leaves a lot left that could donate
out of 600 odd cars that are attending.
If the other 500 odd chucked in a tenner each the jobs a good um,but hey I not moaning just trying to help others slightly less fortunate currently.
Soon all be over now and I'll shut up again for a year or so once I'm safely back in my padded cell…………promise.

Here you go have a few directions that you may find useful.
Directions
Burghley is 1 mile from Stamford and 20 minutes north of Peterborough on the A1.
From the South:
Take the Carpenters Lodge exit on the A1 signposted to Burghley House, turn left on to the B1081 towards Stamford.
Follow the road alongside the park wall and the impressive Bottle Lodges entrance gates down towards Stamford.
Turn right just past the Bull & Swan Pub and continue for 1 mile along the Barnack Road (B1443). You will see the Visitors Entrance on the right.
From the North:
Follow the A1 south past Doncaster and Grantham.
Approximately 30 minutes south of Grantham you will reach the Stamford junction labelled Carpenters Lodge and signposted to Burghley House.
Turn left towards Stamford.
Follow the road past the estate wall and the impressive Bottle Lodges entrance gates.
Just past the A43 on the left, turn right past the Bull & Swan Pub and continue for 1 mile along the Barnack Road (B1443). You will see the Visitors Entrance on the right.
Right so that gets you in but be aware that we will leave the venue by a different exit as you will leave via the Bottle Lodge Main Gate House.
Take note of the stewards should instruction be given or simply follow the arrows.
Lets hope I remember to put the arrows out else it will be fun……...
Hope that helps,
Ed.

Please be aware and before anyone asks I have been in touch with Burghley House regarding the use of Drones.
Unfortunately the reply to my enquiry was that Drones are banned from use within the Estate.
Sorry, but I have to abide strictly to the rules so please do me the courtesy and leave them at home.
Ed.
I'm thinking of applying a stills camera tax on the day if we don't get the £414.00 I still need in the charity pot to match 2014's effort over the weekend…….
To avoid this hideously large camera tax you can pre donate here http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV and avoid any further taxation on arrival.
All unlicensed cameras will be confiscated and entered into the Auctiion…...

Not long to go now before the plot unravels along with my nerves no doubt.
I keep banging on and I'm sure your fed up with my constant quest to raise funds for those here in the UK that are currently less fortunate………………..
But just a few more quid in the charity bin will match the total for the whole event from 2014.
As I persist in repeating, we made £11,132.20 for charity on that occasion so with a week to go before this nightmare in the park unfolds we are now just £350.94 short
of matching that total.
If we could match that its then all down hill as every further bean is a major bonus,I've bust my hump on this (no medals required) so can the PH massive nudge me over the line
before I go over my own metal edge .
Nurse the straight jacket if you please……..
I would commend those that have donated and as you know its very much appreciated so as its Saturday night why not get a few down your necks and take pity on a fat old man
by chucking a few bob in the pot.
Its so easy, just click here before your too bladdered and away you go: http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV

Just pushed through £50 so you are now under £300 now
Keep it rolling folks with 500 + cars we must be able to hit this before the Iceland game tonight?

PM me if interested?

We have a flurry of donations coming in and now need £144.70 to be a penny in front.
Let's forget the Iceland game lets hit the total before Ed reaches Burghley!
It is now a donation against Aston Martin race and for once happy AM comes second for a great cause.......

Hi Ed, I've done my (small) bit to donate to your good cause - thank you for the unexpected email. I really hope you break your record for donations and I'll see you on Sunday! We made a total of £11,132.20 for charity back in 2014 with only 246 cars present that day.

Nijius,
Hope you are well………
On your recent performances I doubt you would be out of bed for 8 am……….. and remember the good lady will want to beautify herself for the day
before you start rushing about…….
Joking apart the arrival time can be from just before 9.am but not 8.00 am as please remember we have to put the commercial side of the event in place
before we can accept 600 plus cars.
Give us a chance and aim for 9.00 am onwards please.
If everyone could have there tenner's ready for a swift and efficient entry we would very much appreciate it as finding change or even chatting at this point
will delay those behind you.
Please follow the Stewards instructions and go where they tell you as we are using several locations for parking that all mingle together so you won't miss anything
where ever you are sent.
I hope that helps and I look forward to welcoming everybody to what is now a massive event.
Btw did I forget to mention that we will have the DB10 of James Bond and Spectre fame on display along with a few other delights hopefully including one
of this years Le Man cars.
Cheers Ed.

No probs my friend - gives me extra sleeping time! I'll aim to leave South Mimms services at 7.30am then. Hoping to get some other cars in convoy to join me for those travelling along north on the A1. Anyone here?? Will update my other thread now... before we can accept 600 plus cars.

There are 2 nice rooms available at the Crown Inn at Elton for Saturday night.

The Crown is some 25 minutes or so from Burghley should anyone is still on a room hunt.
I also understand that the George Hotel in Stamford possibly has a suite available.

………..NEW GAME, NEW GAME, NEW GAME………….
Thanks to yesterdays pre match rally the charity pot now stands at £11,550.01 thank you…………..
Don't know who chucked the penny in mind.
Now this New Game is to see if we can reach 12 GRAND before our all Conquering failures can get their cases unpacked back home in blighty.
Come on, its great fun and it will make you feel an awful lot better after watching that bunch of Wa*kers slip into the obscurity of their very own Euro exit.
Taxi for the funny old bloke….
