bounce………..NEW GAME, NEW GAME, NEW GAME………….bounce

Thanks to yesterdays pre match rally the charity pot now stands at £11,550.01 thank you…………..clap

Don't know who chucked the penny in mind.

Now this New Game is to see if we can reach 12 GRAND before our all Conquering failures can get their cases unpacked back home in blighty.

Come on, its great fun and it will make you feel an awful lot better after watching that bunch of Wa*kers slip into the obscurity of their very own Euro exit.

Taxi for the funny old bloke….rolleyes

We are now only £93.74 off hitting the 12 grand milestone.

If you can help me reach this target it would be a marvellous start to the weekends activities so please help me find the missing few quid.

Please just rattle the tin here: http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV

I won't ask anymore now promise…..biggrin

Just gone through this whole feed and its hilarious - all for a good cause, but your hounding is still done in a light hearted way - I really hope the weather is good as this event is only just up the road from me!

Also NEW UPDATE: £12,087.50 Inc Gift Aid Raised so far biggrin So you have beaten that target - where are you moving the goalpoasts to this time prior to sunday?

Im hoping this event brings in after sunday £20k+ for the chosen charities driving

Matt,

I'm on a one man crusade here to do the best I can with just my own wit and very limited resources to work with.

Those that truly know me will know that once I've made my mind up its game on…...biggrin

There's always a target to chase so the next figure is surely £12,500 quid, this morning we are sitting nicely in place for a late rally at £12,212.50.

I hope to achieve that figure now by Saturday morning as I hope to raise an additional 2k on Saturday with something else I'm doing to help the weekends total.

Add my Saturday activities to the current pot and remembering a fiver from every car through the gate goes to charity (the other fiver goes to Burghley toward the rent) I'm hoping
after the Raffle and Auction we can achieve at least 25 GRAND.

Well thats the plan and I'm sticking to it as failure is not an option….nono

If I was a betting man I think its doable considering if the sun shines we could get 650 cars rock up.

Well thats my plan of attack anyway, so in the most light hearted way "come on you lot cough up" and help me to help a few others currently less fortunate to have a chance.thumbup

Its easy to make a difference, honest….. http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV

You should make the 12,5 grand easy!

IT costs that much just in petrol to get all those Astons up and down to Burghley!!

Breaking news just in…………..

There are 2 nice rooms available at the Crown Inn at Elton for Saturday night.

www.crowninnelton.co.uk

The Crown is some 25 minutes or so from Burghley should anyone is still on a room hunt.
we're staying in The Crown. Anyone on here going there that I need to avoid? wink

Just a quick note.

I wore a yellow tee shirt whilst working at Burghley……..

It attracted small black flying beetles so just a heads up to wear something dark to avoid our over friendly flying friends.

Best to tell the Wife,Girlfriend or Partner as well unless you want a crisis on your hands…... yikes

Just trying to be helpful.

Now that kindly piece of advise is surely worth a tin rattle to find the missing £25.00 quid, can't say I don't try can ya….rolleyes

Yellow always attracts flying insects, that's why fly papers are yellow...

I had never thought of that Rich.

But I'm a thick Fen Hog so I'm used to flies so really I was just looking out for all those big city dwellers……..biggrin

BTW, Did i mention we are now only £337.50 off reaching yet another milestone of 13 grand.

I don't usually mention such things but thought it worth saying…..hehe

Nag, nag, nag!! OK Ed, I give in. We no longer have an Aston and we won't be at Burghley this weekend but despite that I still felt the pressure to make a small donation!

Seriously Ed - I think your efforts in organising this event and doing such great fundraising along the way make you worthy of sainthood! Hope you have managed to herd all the cats and that you all have a fabulous weekend!

All well here thanks. How are things with the Reliant crowd? I do hope you are taking the Reliant this weekend - I'm sure all British models will be given equal billing at Burghley even if it is a bit posh there smile

Here you go have a few directions that you may find useful.

Directions

Burghley is 1 mile from Stamford and 20 minutes north of Peterborough on the A1.

From the South:

Take the Carpenters Lodge exit on the A1 signposted to Burghley House, turn left on to the B1081 towards Stamford.

Ed, we have looked at your directions. From the south you state turn left from A1 on to B1081. Would this perhaps involve an underpass or bridge, because on a map it shows a turn right.

Just a small detail, but be prepared etc.

There's a new slip road and flyover from the A1 northbound, follow it over the A1, then at the end of the road you turn left as per Ed's directions.
