Hi All,

Please be aware that Clive Chedzey from CC Chargers who is fitting his excellent Exhaust switches on the day at Burghley has space for 12 further appointments.

Each unit will be fitted on the day as Clive will come to your car to under take the work.

There will be no movement to the vehicle on the display field and Clive's assures me each fitting will take probably 15 minutes or so.

The cost is a very reasonable £80 with Clive very kindly donating the entire fee to the charity pot.

With such a generous offer from Clive please get behind him and fill the outstanding 12 appointment slots.

To make your appointment please contact Clive prior to the event here : Home 01252 614127 or by mobile 0780 6465818.

He's now awaiting your call.

Many thanks………thumbup

Thanks Rich for the rallying call.

We've crept up to just short of £7500 pounds as of this morning so it would be great if we could get over the 8K mark today as that would
help keep me motivated and help deflect some of the ear ache I get from my wife about the amount of time I spend on this project………..:roll eyes:

This is time I should be painting, decorating or in deed as of this morning orders cutting the bloody lawns……...eek

Right I'm away outside as I can hear her coming back down stairs, there's nothing like being master in your own home is there…….biggrin

Come on save my skin chuck a few bob in,see poetry as well…………..

Cheers…….thumbup
I miscalculated by 43p

Cheers for all your hard work in this Ed. Now I had better get back to my lawn too smile

Yes, very much appreciated as you know Rob.

Thanks to the rallying call supported as ever by Rich we have had 8 donations since yesterday afternoon bringing in an extra £810.37 according to Virgin Money
Giving who have just updated me.

We are now at about £8,200 pounds so 9k is now in sight thank you.

As we are on a roll please keep it going, I promise the Event will be worth every copper you can spare, plus every donation really does further motivate me along the way
and it helps make up for the sleepless nights, the nightmares and the newly acquired twitch.

It also keeps the wife at bay when she see's I'm actually doing something positive.

She's currently trying to book another holiday to get over watching me lose my hair over my pitiful attempt at event planning……..biglaugh, bless her.

Anyway come on guys help make my day and give the charity tin some stick as there's plenty of room left in it for some spare change.

Many thanks as ever……..thumbup

Out of interest Ed, in 2014 do you know roughly how much of the £11k was raised in advance and how much was raised on the gate and by the auction of prizes?

Rich,

Last time I was rather late in setting up a Virgin page so 80% ish of that figure was generated mostly on the day.

Obviously last time was small fry compared to this effort and at that time I hadn't turned into the worlds biggest scrounger of raffle and auction prizes either.

Lets hope with the extra numbers involved and certainly the quality contained both in the raffle and the auction that the final figure reflects the effort that had gone into it.

I also note that most of the figure so far has come via the forum so I'm hoping those that have signed up via hear say or advertisement show their charitable spirit on the day.

If as you mentioned on the other thread…………..if everyone threw a tenner in it would make a tremendous difference.

Thanks as ever……..thumbup

That's a shame Ed as I was thinking of turning up in my 3 new GT12s biggrin
Seriously though, huge congratulations on hitting the magic 600 figure. Did you think you would be saying this with a month to go when the ball started rolling last year?

Morning Pete and all.

People keep mentioning last years event but believe it or not the last big one was July 2014.

Its a very good response this time and I think with a bit more pushing I could have got to 750 in honesty as it does seen people are interested in the event.

I've had to cap it now on Burghley's say so as we have to remember the strain on facilities such as the bogs and the concessions outlets.

Although I have organised a largish catering marquee this time in addition to the Houses own outlets and restaurant I would advise people bring a picnic and plenty of drink.

Whilst I'm on may I ask of peoples patience whilst being parked as we want to get everyone in quickly but above all safely so please show a bit of patience and please pay the ladies on arrival your tenner.

Please have a freshly ironed tenner readily at hand to speed up matters as messing about to change a 50 pound note will cause a knock on effect.

We will have 2 main areas to park so don't panic if you get pointed to a different place to the 10 cars in front of you,its just to try and improve the flow.

The event will have so much to see your will be in for a full day so going back to the grub bring plenty and look to stay for a great day.

If any one has any questions please mail me.

Please remember unfortunately this event is now FULL.

Ed. fully understand the limit, however, undoubtedly for whatever reason some registered people won't turn up. It's a shame you have to put a cap on it.

Please may I say it again, unfortunately this event is now full and registration is closed.

Please do not add yourself to the register list and please now refrain from emailing with your registrations as I'll get shot if I keep being kind and letting people in.

Its now fuller than full is full so please do not mail as I don't wish to have to mail back with disappointment notices.

Phil,

I'm aware some won't turn up and the weather will also play a bit part but the off set to the no shows is the ones that haven't bothered to register and decide on the weekend if the suns out to join in.

Its a very difficult one to balance but at all times I have to adhere to Burghleys requests and of course keep safety paramount in mind.

At this rate we could be there all day just getting in.

Everyone please keep your eye on future posts pending as if will feel it worthwhile we may ask for some early risers to come a bit earlier than 9 am but this is only a thought currently.

Thanks again for all the support its gone a bit crazy the last few days with registrations so lets now be seeing those registrations turn into donations please.

ALL DONATIONS GRATEFULLY RECEIVED BY VISITING MY VIRGIN MONEY GIVING PAGE……..HERE'S THE SHORT LINK. http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV

Don't be shy its a good thing you do to help others less fortunate…...thumbup

Firstly, The charity tin is very quiet unfortunately not another rattle since last weekend………..frown, I was hoping to be deafened……….biggrin

Come on guys lets see if we can crack 10k before all the fun starts as that would be a great building block for the day: http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV

Secondly, the Event Poster has now been produced and is truly a piece of art, so if anyone else wants to pre order their
copy rather than risk disappointment on the day please email me: edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com

There £25.00 each with a fiver from each sale being donated back by the artist Andrew Hill straight to the charity pot.

Thirdly, Clive Chedzey who is fitting the remote exhaust switches has a few fitting slots still available, the switch is £80.00 on the day fitted with all proceeds going to charity.

To make your appointment please contact Clive prior to the event here : Home 01252 614127 or by mobile 0780 6465818.

He's now awaiting your call.

Thanks,

Ed.

  • **BURGHLEY HOTEL OFFER****BURGHLEY HOTEL OFFER****BURGHLEY HOTEL OFFER****BURGHLEY HOTEL OFFER****
After a change in plans I have an extra room at The White Hart in Ufford, Stamford going spare. The Double en-suite room is booked for Friday 1st July and Saturday 2nd July and is valued at £220. I’m sure there is demand for a room and rather than cancel thought I would do another bit for all Ed’s hard work. So, up for silent auction - I’ll honour the cost of the room and anyone that wants it drop me a Private Message with your bid, the winner puts the bid amount into the Charity money pot that is Ed’s Virgin Giving page, ( http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV ) I’ll send them the room voucher. I'll close offer on Monday evening.

Heavens no, I'm still coming! Had planned to take a friend with me as well as my son, but last time he was 10 and this time he's well, bigger. He's OK with Michele in front with seat forward as she's short, but I don't have any similarly short mates. As much as I tried to ram him in the back its not working! So it's just me and Johnny, friend ditched, and hence spare room.

Well done Ed - a truly fabulous achievement and a brilliant effort pulling all of this together.

FYI - Adobe updated their platforms, so the event Slate became an event Spark(!), with a new address ... https://spark.adobe.com/page/lQyVo/

Cheers,

Steve
