………..NEW GAME, NEW GAME, NEW GAME………….
Thanks to yesterdays pre match rally the charity pot now stands at £11,550.01 thank you…………..
Don't know who chucked the penny in mind.
Now this New Game is to see if we can reach 12 GRAND before our all Conquering failures can get their cases unpacked back home in blighty.
Come on, its great fun and it will make you feel an awful lot better after watching that bunch of Wa*kers slip into the obscurity of their very own Euro exit.
Taxi for the funny old bloke….
Go on have a go its easy: http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV ………..

We are now only £93.74 off hitting the 12 grand milestone.
If you can help me reach this target it would be a marvellous start to the weekends activities so please help me find the missing few quid.
Please just rattle the tin here: http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV
I won't ask anymore now promise…..

Matt,
I'm on a one man crusade here to do the best I can with just my own wit and very limited resources to work with.
Those that truly know me will know that once I've made my mind up its game on…...
There's always a target to chase so the next figure is surely £12,500 quid, this morning we are sitting nicely in place for a late rally at £12,212.50.
I hope to achieve that figure now by Saturday morning as I hope to raise an additional 2k on Saturday with something else I'm doing to help the weekends total.
Add my Saturday activities to the current pot and remembering a fiver from every car through the gate goes to charity (the other fiver goes to Burghley toward the rent) I'm hoping
after the Raffle and Auction we can achieve at least 25 GRAND.
Well thats the plan and I'm sticking to it as failure is not an option….
If I was a betting man I think its doable considering if the sun shines we could get 650 cars rock up.
Well thats my plan of attack anyway, so in the most light hearted way "come on you lot cough up" and help me to help a few others currently less fortunate to have a chance.
Its easy to make a difference, honest….. http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV

Just a quick note.
I wore a yellow tee shirt whilst working at Burghley……..
It attracted small black flying beetles so just a heads up to wear something dark to avoid our over friendly flying friends.
Best to tell the Wife,Girlfriend or Partner as well unless you want a crisis on your hands…...
Just trying to be helpful.
Now that kindly piece of advise is surely worth a tin rattle to find the missing £25.00 quid, can't say I don't try can ya….

I had never thought of that Rich.
But I'm a thick Fen Hog so I'm used to flies so really I was just looking out for all those big city dwellers……..
BTW, Did i mention we are now only £337.50 off reaching yet another milestone of 13 grand.
I don't usually mention such things but thought it worth saying…..

Nag, nag, nag!! OK Ed, I give in. We no longer have an Aston and we won't be at Burghley this weekend but despite that I still felt the pressure to make a small donation!
Seriously Ed - I think your efforts in organising this event and doing such great fundraising along the way make you worthy of sainthood! Hope you have managed to herd all the cats and that you all have a fabulous weekend!

Thanks for your kind words and your gratefully received donation.
Kindest regards to you both.
Pressures on…...
Yes lets hope for some sunshine.
Sadly we have had a few knocks and losses this past 2 days so I feel I should advise that the Aston Dragster may not be present as the owners Jewelry business has been ram raided leaving him and his staff some what shaken to say the least let alone a shop with no front.
Secondly the Le Mans car has been double booked and a main sponsor takes priority,I replacement has been provided by way of a GT3 Nurburgring 24 hour car.
Finally one of the old formula one cars which was returning by ship from abroad appears lost at sea or more probably shuck in a container awaiting customs……..
I'm sorry for these loses but I can only try my best at all times.
It has been a very testing week with the ground at Burghley and I and a small stewarding team spent most of our day at Burghley yesterday fighting our corner with the Management to gain ground that was taken from us due to last weekends wet event that left a mess of the surface.
All is sorted now hopefully and we have relayed the field yet again to try and find the best passage across the landscape to our display area's..
Please when you are on the grass stick with the 5mph limit as it is in your best interests,we have taken every care to make sure of ground clearance but I can not legislate for cars that have been lowered or are extremely low in the first place.
If your car is lower than a normal DB9 for instance ask to use the lower field, all standard cars though will pass over the route laid out.
That was a bit of a tester to say the least yesterday…...
Please work with us on this as a lot of time and effort went in to keeping this event afloat (pardon the pun) yesterday and its fair to say it didn't help my stress level…….
Please work with us tomorrow on arrival and show patience as we have done our best working with the conditions we have faced this last week.
I hope everything works out and everyone that attends has a great day.
Thank you for your support.
Finally please do not email me today unless it is of major importance as I am out all day working on this weekends activities.
