Ok, My drive has a dropped kerb and my business resides from my home. The council kindly put in DYL's to protect the drive and my business visitors.

There only 2 spaces left in the road are taken by the new development over the road, 2012 built ours were 1939 but our drives went in 2011. And the council have had 60% of the roads in the development removed by monitored and enforced DYL's

Like I said I had mine enforced and protected but people still park even though there is a camera monitoring 4 roads, but if they get fined across me they moan the next lines are 3 doors up and are a bus stop but they stop there also and moan to the occupants that they had them fined, but we are not the council.

The people from the new estate are good and park where they can so are not an issue.

Anything else you need to know?

And what has my school got to do with moaning about fines when you have parked illegally? Getting fined but you might as well blame the grocer or the Butcher as the DYL's were outside his or hers business?

Park illegally and get fined, the question was would you have a go at the person or business in front of the lines? Yes or No?

Not a hard question?

How odd a statement?

I think it was a facetious question because your post is dificult to understand. Perhaps a photo or two of the double yellow lines might help to illustrate the problem.

Fair enough,

The Double yellows and the dropped kerb are protected as are all the ones in the vicinity, the camera is monitoring 4 side roads. And as you can see 2 doors up is a bus stop.

Simple in my book. Again the question was would you get angry with the residents if you got fined? And this is my issue people getting angry with residents when they parked illegally.

Forgive the Volvo it is a warranty supplied car, ok in parts but the driving position is rubbish.

To keep it PH like.

It's an odd question in a way, some people wouldn't complain to the occupants and suck it up, some would call the occupants a bunch of knobbers for asking the council to put them in.

The latter may even be under the misapprehension that you and not the council cctv has grassed them up.

Whack up some signage that states "wasn't us wot grassed you up, guvnor - Council CCTV enforcement in place..."

You can't ultimately influence the behaviour of others all the time so best to ignore them.

Reminds me of the time when the wife drove into a pile of breeze blocks (yes, those pesky inanimate objects) on the drive and blamed me because" They've been there for ages so it's your fault for not moving them". I could have pointed out that if they've been there ages she should have known not to crash into them but I simply nodded gravely and asked her how she'd like to pay for the damage...

... She'd cracked three of my breeze blocks biggrin

So the council not only painted double-yellow lines next to your dropped kerb, which is rare, but also felt the need to put a street camera in to enforce this.

Either they feel that your driveway is of vital importance to the community or you've given them a back-hander.

People are incredibly selfish.

If caught they blame the Council/The Labour Party/ the BBC for not making enough parking spaces available outside the takeaway, next to the traffic lights etc etc forcing them to park illegally.

Did you miss the bit that stated it is my Business location, the only reason the Volvo is on the drive and not in the garage is a stipulation of the warranty company and I have already deferred my business visitors until Tuesday.

The camera is to monitor 4 streets and was put out for consultation, as they the council made a mistake when they allowed the new estate.

The ensuing police visits to the new estate meant the council had to act

I knew it would affect me and my business to lobbied my MP to get the DYL's.

I have only had one person moan but the people with the bus stop yellow lines have had lots even though the lines have been there 25 years that I know of but only enforced since 2016 so this year.

Hence my question.

What does that mean? I thought the construction and grammar of your sentence was strange and hard to make sense of. Your school English teacher must be shaking their head in disbelief.

We'll soon put a stop to that, now that we're leaving the EU...

Your bollards look pretty ineffective. It looks like you could drive a bus through the gap between them.

In answer to your question, no, I would not moan if the council gave me a ticket for parking like a prat.
