Seriously considering an early V8V; good idea?

Look at a few and generally when you see the right one you will know. I moved into Aston ownership after 15 years of TVR ownership and although they were great, I don't regret moving on. My Vantage is a 2007 model with the upgrades, low mileage and full service history. After a year it's only cost me a set of tyres which I knew was coming when I bought it, a wheel refurb ( my choice) and a new thermostat which was an easy DIY job. It flew through its MOT and is going for its first service in my ownership this week. Based on the quote I've had it will be cheaper than the last service my Audi A5 had (£780) provided nothing unforeseen crops up. It's an event every time I take it out, unlike the TVRs my wife likes it and so do other road users. my advice is to go for it, unless you are unlucky I am sure you won't regret it.

Oh I know, I'm no stranger to cars that cost a fortune to run. I leased myself a 4 series diesel to give myself a break, I'd probably go for something like the V8V and lease a Golf/1 series or equivalent to take some of the strain.

Does seem a bit overpriced for a private sale judging by previous comments on this thread, but spec is right and hopefully as good in real life as it appears in the pictures.

If my Cayenne fails it's MOT at the weekend (which I don't expect it to, but you never know) - the Aston will be the only one of my 3 cars that is actually working!
I've had my December 2005 Meteorite V8V for 5 years now and love it. The only thing that has failed was the thermostat, easily fixed under warranty, Oh and the clutch at 29k miles - replaced by the lads at Bridge Hill who also swapped to the new gearbox linkage and changed the gearbox oil while they were down there. Now it doesn't struggle to change from 1st to 2nd when cold.
I've swapped to clear rear lights which look great IMO. However I'm not using it as much as I should hence why it only has 36k miles showing, I could be persuaded to part with it . I'm in Manchester too if anyone want a look at it
