THIS SUNDAY - London Aston Drive + Breakfast
Discussion
Ed, thanks again for coming down my friend. Thankfully I took quite a few photos and Dave will hopefully have his GoPro video up soon as well. Thanks for the kind words about the Vanquish.
You missed out after you left on some epic tunnel runs around a roundabout and stopping over at Aston Welwyn.
Will post up the photos tonight.
Dave, a pleasure like always my friend. You're my go to Aston driving buddy: three times on a Sunday now!
Hopefully for the next one you and Ed will have Vanquishes... Haha.
Nick, Great to FINALLY meet you in person. It was a wicked day.
Steve, thanks for adding yourself. Aston Welwyn suggested I hold the next event at their place. They'll provide some breakfast, let people check out some cars and then take us in a cool route through some back roads.
Will start a new thread about it when I've confirmed a date and will message everyone who added their name to the list. Could be epic!

No probs Aston Welwyn would be great that's where I bought and have my car serviced.

Right, now that I've got some spare time let's talk about Sunday....
It was a beautiful day for it and there ended up being four of us altogether. Quarterly (Ed) with his V12 Vantage, DaveV8V with the V8 Vantage, NickXX with his V8 Vantage and myself with my Vanquish.
Dave has a sports exhaust on his Vantage which meant we truly did have a diversified range of exhaust notes - all beautiful of course in the typical Aston fashion.
After meeting up in King's Cross I showed everyone my McLaren and Vanquish. Then we got going via Highgate (like always!) and along the A41 and then A1 to the Hatfield tunnel. It was quite a sight having so many Astons in my rear view mirror and what epic noises we were all making in unison!
Ed with his V12 Vantage parked next to my Vanquish:
The McLaren:
Can never have enough Astons together:
The backs look good as well:
I love my Vanquish:
Security asked us if it was an Aston Martin day...
After the Hatfield tunnel Ed had to leave us and the rest of us proceeded down to Aston Welwyn Garden where low and behold my old V12 Vantage was on the forecourt!
We carried on driving past and found a cool little tunnel with small roundabouts on either side. Like kids with new toys we made the most of those tunnels. More fun than you can imagine.
Afterwards we stopped off at the glamoruous Tesco superstore nearby (!) and had coffee and pastries for breakfast. After breakfast I encouraged Dave to test drive my Vanquish and somehow (!) I managed to fit in the back seat. Wouldn't want to sit there for long mind...
Breakfast:
Dave had brought along his GoPro so we decided to go back to the earlier tunnel and roundabout section and record some epic sounds. But on the way past we realised that Aston Welwyn was actually open so we went in and Nick and Dave checked out a DB9 GT.
I spoke to some sales people who I've seen so many times now (it's like my second home!) and amazingly as I was walking in a fellow PH reader was talking about this guy who'd just bought a Vanquish and McLaren. The salesperson replied back: Yeah, that guy just walked in. Haha.
That's the second time that's happened to me at the same garage. Had a good talk with the guy in question and he should be coming to our next event. The guy's name was Geoffery and he had an absolutely stunning looking blue Vantage:
Afterwards we did the tunnel about twenty times and am just waiting for Dave to upload the footage and then we headed back into London.
It was a great day and before I've even got chance to relax...here's the next one:
Aston Welwyn told me to organise the next event at their place and I've decided on Sunday 21st August. Will put up the thread now, e-mail all the people who added their name to the list and put the link up here.
It was another epic day so let's make this a monthly thing and even bigger each time!

Aw that looked like an awesome meet, gutted I missed it. Would have been great to meet fellow v12v owners. I'll keep my eye on this forum a little more closely in future!
That's a great looking car you got there - love the black wheels. Go nicely with the body colour.Well the next event has already been planned:
