Simon, can you spec this with lightweight seats?
Adam - yes you can add lightweight seats - cost is an additional £2,495 (as per 17MY factory options list)

Hi All,

...and he (like all the other depositors so far) is going with a manual transmission.
That gives a nice warm glow inside that these are going to be driven, not just sat in a collection somewhere.

Really? I would've thought just the opposite. Everyone seems to think that manuals will be the last collectibles, so maybe those won't be driven whereas the SSM is conducive to cutting up the road.

The RAF BF are going to gift one of these prints to each Spitfire 80 owner at the handover event. Nice touch and one I was not expecting from them.

Whereas I would say that the manual is the one to have for driving pleasure. Horses for courses....

my first thoughts: "SO gauche!"

But somehow, only Aston could pull it off. I'll pass... but I can see why some would buy into it.

Here is an updated interior render with some missing details added in. Now has both the RAF roundel detail and the Spitfire serial number embroidery on the airbag cover. K5054, the prototype Spitfire, has been reserved and will be on one of the cars.

7 out of 8 cars now sold. All are 7 speed manual. The following Spitfire serial numbers have been reserved for the sold cars:-

EP120
X4276
K5054
N3200
W3185
K4477
W3257

Over 22,000 Spitfires were made so there are plenty more serial numbers to choose from but only one car. Factory tour to see the cars in build is on 28th September. Last chance to be a part of this folks. More details here:- http://www.jardinemotors.co.uk/aston-martin/new-ca...

Last car has now been sold. We are making a very cool teaser film at Duxford on Friday with the same Spitfire Guy Martin restored last year on C4. Will share when I have it.

Congratulations I'm sure it will be worth all the hard work - I'm quick enough to pull people up for lacking imagination or attention to detail when speccing their cars but the spec of these looks absolutely superb and very well thought through - these really will be some of the very best examples of V12V/S ever made
