Autocar have finally published the feature on the V12VSM -vs- the GT-R
Autocar: Which is fastest? Nissan GT-R takes on Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
Short but enjoyable review even if it involves a Datsun.
Does go to show that even with the improvements, the V12Vs is still traction limited on acceleration. That makes it slower, but a lot more fun.Autocar: Which is fastest? Nissan GT-R takes on Aston Martin V12 Vantage S

During my test drive of the V12Vsm I had asked my accompanying pro driver why they didn't just engineer in wider rubber at the rear. The answer was that that would make it less fun.
I've just spotted these pics on Instagram from AM Bristol of a V12VS Manual in Flugplatz. Again seems to feature the std bonnet vents, but it does have the lightweight seats!

it's not listed on the website.
but it's been sat in the showroom fully visible for a long time and a lot of Aston customers have seen it. I looks great, I like it, but let's not kid ourselves that there will be a queue of people for a manual flugplatz V12VS, or frankly any coloured one. Just look at the demo cars everyone is selling way below list. Upperworks said:

Turns out that V12 Vantage S customers want paddles after all Once orders cease for any variation of vantage as we know it and the new / replacement vantage (with the AMG engine) is both announced and has set in stone production dates, there will be a line drawn under both production numbers and derivatives. One would like to hope given the relatively low overall production numbers that prices could then start to firm up for used V12 Vantages of any type
Until then, model plan uncertainty can't be helping the used market

There was of course the final edition of the DB9, so hopefully the present Vantage will be honoured
with an end of an era, special Final N/A Edition model.

At the end of DB9 production there was the GT, the Bond edition and the 'last 9 Q specials' (IIRC 9 coupes then 9 volantes ?) - I'm not sure which you'd even regard as being the 'final/best edition' although I assume the 'last 9' were the last cars to actually be produced
