This topic reminds me of a story that's been making the rounds recently where one "fella" told a woman that if she bothered to do a little reading of "real Science" maybe she'd realize that climate change was a hoax. Turns out the "gal" he was saying this to had a PhD in astrophysics from Princeton!

The lesson here is that it's prolly best not to adopt a condescending tone with some stranger on the internet lest you be humiliated by their credentials.

How odd
I've just come off a forum for my other passion - football and as I read the above, I thought I was still there!

If I really wanted another V12, I'd buy one. I have a DB9V already, the V8VR is for THE MISSUS and she does not want any more power.

This car is a keeper and in my opinion (and others), the V12 sills improve the aesthetic. We've also added other bits for the same reason. ITS NOT ABOUT TRYING TO LOOK LIKE A V12V, it's about making a beautiful car look even beautifuller - as you will see at Windsor and Compton Verny.

I just think if you want it to look like a V12, buy a V12? If you can't afford a V12, then it's a bit embarrassing to try to pretend? Be happy with what you can afford, aspire to what you can't and work hard until you can.

At the next Olympics there is expected to be a new athletics event,
- Jumping To Conclusions (JTC).

Great Britain is expected to be very strong at this event, for reasons that are all too obvious, particularly when associated with motor cars, and hopefully will be able to achieve a gold medal.

The rules are well known, but by way of as an example, say you notice a man in scruffy work clothes disposing of garden rubbish at the dump. The man is removing his rubbish from a 20 year old 'repmobile' car. The best JTC athletes will feel sorry for this man, because he has not worked hard, and is obviously very poor.

In reality, the man seen at the dump in his gardening clothes, is the proud owner of a multi-million pound classic car collection, but certainly does not show-off or brag about it, and just likes to use an old car for his dump runs.

Talent scouts are now searching for a squad of the best JTC athletes.
