Having trouble getting a set of fronts - bought some 6 weeks ago from Eurocarparts and they just cancelled the order due to 'long lead time' - AFTER 6 weeks!

Lots of other internet suppliers seem to be out of stock or >£300.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Try here:
http://astonmartinbits.com/models/5-V8-Vantage/par...

or EBC yellow stuff if you want cheaper pads, but I don't rate them (had both EBCs and Pagids)

Did you come back to see if I had said thanks?

Sorry, I do realise you were trying to be helpful and I appreciate that but I didn't respond since 'cos they're crap' put me off a bit.

Cheers anyway I shall try to be more appreciative in the future.

Cheers for the info, swapped a couple of emails with BMG and currently awaiting availability at an excellent price.

Holding out for Pagids but I've only a few mm left! Wear sensors haven't gone yet though...

Has anyone found replacement pads that:
1. have the correct placed holes for the wear sensors;
2. produce less brake dust than the OEM Pagids; and
3. have the same or better performance?

The amount of brake dust produced by these pads is quite an annoyance.

Sorry, it was not enough of an "Aston Martin" response for you? Can one not be upfront in the dusty sub-forum which is the AM Owners Club?

They are not the best pads, and I don't know how me saying they're crap would "put you off" replying, since I wasn't insulting you??

Since I have the same brake calipers and have used those pads , seeing the thread thought that I would offer my input to consider something else, obviously a mistake.

Good luck.

I'm still waiting from Rick at BMGautoparts to get hold of some front pads for me, seems like there's a shortage out there maybe ? (I've gone for the pagid this time). He's sorted me for rears and sensors. Also waiting on Europarts for discs, but they've just said not available until 16/09.......I wonder if they do that when they sell them with 25% discount !?! Might have to look around for other disc suppliers (at reasonable prices) or go back to Rick (shipping costs are high for heavy discs.....)

Yesterday Euro Car Parts were doing 30% discount. Flash30 was the code so may still be working.

Probably a genuine lack if stock. Just wait, they are (with discount) the best priced source for discs

Just a quickee to say these brake pads are no longer on back order, so for those that have been patiently waiting, i have plenty of front and rear pads in stock for the Vantage V8 and DB9.

Many thanks for your support

And there was me just being too impatient.............

Don't know why I rushed when I'm still waiting for discs anyway.

Thanks Rick for the other parts, great prices and super quick delivery.
