Would you buy a red Aston?
Discussion
My First Aston was Toro Red (looks like that one is also) and it was stunning in the flesh, but seemed to photograph poorly. Whenever I went to an Aston meet, people would say "who's is the stunning red Aston in the car park?" Nuff said.
As for the comment about the wrong kind of red for a sports car is obviously tongue in cheek, I sold mine easily and the next owner did not want the safe (boring) colours.
Red is the way to go , sorry it's not an Aston...

I missed that......didn't realise you'd gone over to the dark side.As for the comment about the wrong kind of red for a sports car is obviously tongue in cheek, I sold mine easily and the next owner did not want the safe (boring) colours.

Seriously though, if I ever changed Brands, which I doubt I will, McLaren is a car I'd look at,and the Ferrari 488.

Super safe resale options.
Sod that, just buy the car you want and enjoy.

Except, are silver/grey/black safe resale options when the 'market' is flooded with lots of the same.
With an Aston (or similar) I think something that is a little different is likely to have better resale than the ubiquitous silver/grey/black that 90% of them seem to be.
OP, buy the red one.
Mind you, for me the only colour for an Aston would be pale met. Aston 'racing' green

You could say the same about Ferrari's in red, lots of them but they are easier to sell as are darker coloured Aston's, you can't dispute fact...Except, are silver/grey/black safe resale options when the 'market' is flooded with lots of the same.

OP, I'm not a fan of red Aston's however even to my eyes that looks ok, buy it and enjoy....good luck
I would love to swap my 2009 Tungsten Silver V8V for red but couldn't fine one at the time. Wish I had held out, now that it isn't worth anything whatever the colour is....
Get the car YOU want and just drive it.
Don't listen to the smarmy salesman who has a stack of silver and black ones that he can't offload. Like I stupidly did!

Not sure why you think your 2009 V8V is worth nothing. About £45-50K retail I would say. If that's nothing to you then I'll take that nothing from you please.RB
OP,
Others have said it here before. It can be difficult to photograph and may even look dull in some photos, but in the flesh, I get comments about its colour (Toro Red) and when they realise it's an AM, people become orgasmic.
Depends on the light for the photos, these are the same car but look quite different:
Buy it, you won't regret it,
Sean

That's a nicer red than the one in the OP, IMHO.Others have said it here before. It can be difficult to photograph and may even look dull in some photos, but in the flesh, I get comments about its colour (Toro Red) and when they realise it's an AM, people become orgasmic.

Thanks. It may even be the same colour, which highlights that you must see them in the flesh. I looked for quite a while and I was adamant on not getting a Black / Grey / Silver one.Coincidence that the current Zagato press releases show a metallic red which seems to highlight it's bespoke quality.
Red is also faster even when parked in the garage!!
When I bought my Vantage they had an metallic orange one in stock , (sorry I've forgotten the correct AM colour )that I thought about buying for quite a few days , in the end I went for Ceramic Grey and to be fair I love the colour of both cars but I went boringly safe in the end.
It's a hard decision , but a nice position to be in , take your time to make it.

Another recommendation to the OP not to rule out red.
My Fire Red DB9. It looks quite a plain red unless the sun is shining, sunlight brings out the gold flecks in the paintwork. Difficult to photograph but fabulous in real life.

Not surprisingly I take a slightly different view...My Fire Red DB9. It looks quite a plain red unless the sun is shining, sunlight brings out the gold flecks in the paintwork. Difficult to photograph but fabulous in real life.

I take that back, it does look good. petop said:

But like you said, photos can almost ruin look. When I bought mine from Works the pictures were showing a washed out, in need of a polish car but when you see it in real life it is indeed different.
