Would you buy a red Aston?

Oh dear....quick update..... I went a drove a local 4.3 with the sportshift box to see how much different it was to the 4.7 sportshift II that I had test driven before. I found it ok and as I don't drive around like a 17 yr old anymore it behaved ok and I could definitely live it.
So, I emailed the dealer today and expressed my interest and asked if we could continue our chat about it. Unfortunately he came back to me and said it had been sold over the weekend.....and to cap it all another one I had half an eye on appears to also have been sold....he who hesitates I guess.....the search continues.
Clumsy, don't rush it. There are plenty around and the last thing you want to do is regret buying the wrong one. The added advantage may be that as summer slips away, prices may drop a small amount as people start to think about winter and Xmas. That was for sale when I bought mine (assuming it's the same car obvs, only 9 or 10 in that colour though) from a car dealer of mixed reputation in the north, now back in the dealer network clearly.
Oh really? The dubious car dealer wasn't a franchised Aston dealer was it? I'm aiming to just use Aston "timeless" cars for the piece of mind in case something untoward happens to it.And yes I guess it wasn't to be but I can't help kicking myself....I've been lurking for a while and seriously looking to pull the trigger for the last 3 months and I thought I had it. Never mind, when you're spending this kind of money then it has to tick all the boxes.

Did an engineer invent the term 'Timeless' or was it a Marketing Man You really pay for these frilly things but as its your first a big group dealer can certainly look more reassuring. And yes do take your time but try not to worry too much about the 'perfect' spec - I often think we fuss too much (I'm a piano black man myself and prefer shiny trim to carbon bits) JaseB said:

I'm the one who was pushing on price on th magma red car in Novembet of 2015.
I didn't go through with the purchase as there were just too many red flags for me in the end.
It was the wrong time for me to buy another manual car after 2 shoulder operations, plus trying to deal with the 'Sellers' over the phone to arrange an inspection on the car was proving hard work. I'm down south and the car was for sale in Yorkshire.
I don't think this is the same car , the car at 'Motorhub' had 34k on last November and had missed its last service. I'm also pretty sure the car did not have the 'Bose' stereo also.
MG - what's the spec of your brothers Vantage S Roadster ? Is it an 4.7 S ? Manual or Auto ?
PM me the spec please if it's an auto please.
Thanks,
Nick

Don't be too hard on yourself, Clumsy. It's a very buoyant market for these cars so you just need to realign yourself with that fact.
I missed out on several cars, thinking I had 48 hours to 'mull it over'. The right car will present itself and you'll know when it does so you can act accordingly. It will be worth the wait.
