Why are all these AM meets when I am always at work!!!!!

I missed Burghley, now this, although a couple of hours drive as I live in the East Midlands but I'd love come with my DB9 but unfortuately i'll be on an oil terminal in the middle of nowhere frown

Hopefully next time.

Hey Paul,

No harm in chancing your arm, and having a go at arranging an East Midlands get together. There may be a others who are thinking the same thing. Throw out a date when you know you'll be off of work, what's the worse that can happen? One or two people may be up for it, and even if the first one doesn't come off you may find a new driving buddy who lives just around the corner.

Give it a go, best of luck smile

Either you're in or out.
No good sitting in a poker game and not playing your hand.
I'm not putting on my best clobber on a promise.

p.s. not absolutely certain I can make it myself.

I'd be in a Lamborghini and my friend in a Ferrari?

Thanks

Well Paul, it's funny you should say that actually... I've been speaking to a guy who organises supercar meets and he suggested we make this a Britain vs Italy themed meet. So you and your friend would be more than welcome!

Just add your cars to the list.

I'm gonna put up a thread in the supercar forum shortly and talk to McLaren owners I know. In the meantime please spread the word... smile

Hi Nij, Looks great where you are in Venice, i'd love to meet up, the drive to Loughborough would take me down some great countryside roads, but unfortunately i'm down London that weekend, never mind, hopefully meet up next time.

Hi Paul
I have visited a very good Indian restaurant in Loughborough.
I used to go there when I used a factory making up sweats and jog pants for me in Gotham, which is nearby.
Gotham .....always reminded me of Batman.

Yes I know Nick.
The unfortunate mishap at the D&D event was quite out of character.
I admit that I'm not used to heavy drinking sessions, but as we were all buying rounds I overstretched myself.
Then someone spiked my curry.
The rest is history.
I very rarely venture outside of our vibrant Capital,London, but occasionally business requirements make me "man up " and off I go.
Actually I quite like Northerners, generally they tend to be more down to earth with less bullst than southerners.
I am particularly keen on the Yorkshire accent, there is something "honest" and "earthy" about it that I find appealing.
Indian restaurants,or more accurately Indian curries are something, may I modestly admit, I am somewhat an authority on.
