I am very sorry I didn't make it. I've been sick about twice in the last 5 years and today decided to be the second time. I kept on thinking I was going to be ok, but then I'd be sick again. I'm really annoyed, but it couldn't be helped I'm afraid.

Ed said a couple of people wanted to talk to me about detailing, so to those people, feel free to drop me a message or give me a call.

I was looking forward to the burger afterwards too, but couldn't keep anything down. Hope you all feel sorry for me lol.

What a lovely day. Great to see some familiar faces and to meet a few more. I also got reacquainted with the love of my life - VAJ, driven by me for the first time. Adam then stole my DBS. More of that please.

Great to catch up with everyone yesterday and to see THE best Vanquish on Earth - just wonderful.

Sorry I missed the lunch Bins. Got stuck behind the traffic you pulled out in front of leaving McGurks and had no idea where you were going. Once that V12 powered arse of yours was out of site I had no chance in my training bra biggrin

My first run out to a breakfast meet (or an Aston meet of any sort). Great to take the Vanquish for a run out (even if it was its first time in the rain) and meet so many knowledgeable and welcoming people. Thank you.

Gutted to have missed it Ed I was at Ally Pally for a classic car event or would have come along.

Sorry Pete, I waited at the roundabout but by that stage I think you'd made the decision to go home. Next time we'll plan slightly better! Great to see you nonetheless.

Hi ya Graham,

Yes, I've broken the news to her in doors…………..hehe

It went down better than expected so lets see what the new tax year brings.

I think a lot of my newly acquired Vanquish needs can be put down to Tony as after driving his quite a lot this year and last and of course constantly getting told
"you should have bought a Vanquish tosser" the fact is now sinking in……….smash

Hope to catch up soon, maybe down on the Brighton scene again………well at least the chips were hot and Spearmint Rhino girls even hotter………...biggrin

Nice to see everyone and what a cracking fish & chip gastro lunch to boot!

Thanks also so much to everyone for their Vantage buying advice for my mate - so many invaluable owner insight and tips there. There is zero chance he wont be buying one now!

Windscreen info on each car themselves would have been useful John - we did get in a quite a muddle over that titanium one! All v nicely prepped cars though & thanks for being great hosts again smile

23,000 mile unexplained gap in service history - main dealer stamps either side - bit odd! I thought it a bit noisy/whiney in 2nd gear and thought having to continually prod a third pedal on the left a bit repetitive and tiring (lol wink). It is priced quite reasonably for an 06 mind. but warranty was back to the used car dealer for him to fix & covered box and tranny only. Hadn't had a clutch....

Phil has loads of ideas now and much greater info & options at McGurks (far preferable IMHO - clutch dependent). He will make the fold and be weaned off the pork! smile Cheers

Ed - that is pretty much on the record. It is happening as far as I am concerned. I look forward to seeing your Vanquish next time we meet smile

A Mako Blue coupe just gone on at Welwyn could be a contender? I would like to see a picture of the interior first though. The Mako Volante at McGurk's did look good! Welwyn also has the Kopi Bronze Vanquish which is a bit marmite but definitely worth viewing. Just don't get black with a black interior as you have seen how terrible that can look smile

Dewi - I had never really thought about the value of bringing a prospective purchaser to such an event but it is undoubtably huge and it was a pleasure to be one of many to discuss and help a little I hope after putting 20K miles on a Vantage myself.

Pete - good to see you old chap. Thanks for the tip on the pads in the lightweight seats even if it was a bit terrifying watching you rip them apart! I got the traffic thing going on my Sat Nav. I found it and had it selected but it was not showing for some reason. Unticked it and ticked it again and voila!

Thanks for McGurk's for hosting.
