Looking to get rid of my R8 v10 and 640d GC and buy a one car solution....

Have previously owned an M5 so the RS6 is certainly a contender.. (current shape)

Now I'm well aware that certain cars such as Golf Rs, s3s, new BMWs etc are targeted by so called Hanoi burglars...but I'm wondering if the same applies to the rs6

My car is always garaged but the area has seen a spate of burglary/car thefts some of which have been nasty confrotation incidents...

Would I be be naive ti assume the rs6 is not a thief magnet?

Please discuss!

They certainly do appear to attract more unwanted attention than their RWD opponents. I guess it's due to the fact they're much easier to drive at speed so great in the hands of undesirables.

My guess is it's the smaller S/RS's that are the preferred scumbag method of transport & have only heard of a couple of 6's going missing.

Maybe trawl through rs246.com to get a better idea as a few 'Stolen' threads on there.

The new C7 RS6 went through a "rough" patch in spring/summer with a spate of thefts but there seems to be much less reported now so I'm hoping the crims have moved on to the next car on their "Eastern European Gangster" shopping list.

A friend has 4 masked men try and break into his house the other week. He is pretty certain they wanted his S6.

He literally had to run out the back door and jump over fences to escape. Apparently a few other Audis in the area had been targetted similarly.
