I've just had my DB9 serviced at Chicane in Hook and can definitely recommend them, great value compared to the main players plus they'll give you a guided tour of all the beautiful DB's in their restoration area if you ask. Had a mint DB5 'shooting brake' yesterday!!
Thanks for that. I'll give them a call996dom said:

I'd not heard of them - will have to take a look. For the OP, I used Spellbound in Farnham for my service in Spring this year, and to correct a couple of minor issues last year. I think they did a good job, although the service felt a bit "main dealer" to me with the cost and some of the things they felt needed doing.
I've seen AHM in Hartley Wintney mentioned on here a few times and keep meaning to go and have a chat with them before the next service.
Trinity Aston. I've been with them for 5 years now and their level of attention to detail and skills are astonishing. I actually see owning a new Aston and having to have a main dealer service it as a down side by not taking it to Trinity. If you want complete peace of mind that everything on the car is in good order then Trinity are best in my experience

Absolutely - they have looked after my cars extremely well, passionate about what they do and know the cars inside out. I would only ever use a main dealer to preserve factory warranty. If you're thinking of buying an Aston, Trinity do independent inspections that will give great peace of mind - almost forensic in its detail.Do Trinity fall in to the camp of telling you that something needs changing when it is only 50% worn? Or, will they have a discussion with you informing you something is 50% worn and might be fine for another year or more depending on use?
That for me is key. All too often it's the former.

Tim and his team try to get to know each customer and the use and miles their cars are likely to do and advise and service accordingly. Unlike a main dealer whose techs will only do what is on the service sheet (if you're lucky!) Trinity use the Mk1 eyeball and knowledge of the cars to advise what else might need doing. Tim, the proprietor, is an AMOC concours judge but he runs several modern AM's of his own. If you want your car maintained about as well as anyone can, they are brilliant and reasonably priced. They care for cars as if they were their own. I'm sure there will always be someone somewhere who is cheaper, but I know where my cars will be going. That for me is key. All too often it's the former.

Can anyone recomend a good independant AM specialist in the south east? Advice would be most welcome.
I've used these chaps who are based in Farnham http://www.spellboundcars.com/aston-martin-service... ask for Andrew Weller, mention me if you like it won't get you a special deal but always nice to know they have been recommended. They have looked after my V12 Vantage for the last couple of years. When I was looking at a few Vantages I scoped out my local specialists & Trinity were great, I think I spoke to the owner who had just bought a red Vantage himself from memory. I spent a lot of time talking to me about the cars & I would definitely have gone there for service had I bought. Very knowledgable and came across as the type of outfit who wouldn't recommend unnecessary work.
