Hi all just got a letter, have pleaded guilty and will be waiting to here back for a court date.

Any advice for me? Aside from dress smart and be apologetic?

Do the points start from date of offense or from the court date?

Does anyone have any advice? Would it be better in the long term to hire a solicitor or shall I just wing it and be apologetic?

Speak to AGT Law on here to get a strategy sorted and mitigation prepared even if you can't afford to be fully represented.

He got me a very good result (considering other options) a few months back for 105+ (6 points/few hundred quid fine)

62 in a 30 means indicated 65+ - how the hell were you going that fast in a 30 zone? nuts

Get a solicitor - by any means - as you could be looking at losing your licence.

I thought over 60 in a 30 was DD as well. IANAL

You will get banned I would say at the least so don't drive. Basically you say you won't do it again.

Where was it and the road conditions and time might go in your favour as long as it wasn't outside a school at 08.30am.

if you are skint it might be best not to get a solicitor. if you expect to lose your licence for a few months then take it on the chin, a solicitor might help but the odds are stacked against you.

I'm a bus driver so it's 10 times worse if I get disqualified, won't be able to work for any company for years will have to completely change jobs to something else

I'm praying I don't lose it

Get a solicitor, I have very little experience of these things but you need to understand how these things work and what you can say and when, I can't give you advice but if your lively hood is riding on it it has to be worth borrowing some money and getting a solicitor.

You got to 65+ indicated in the 100m after leaving Well Hall roundabout to that carefully cherry-picked low-traffic image?

You do appear to be a bit laissez-faire over your licence for somebody whose job depends on it, don'cha?

As above. I've been at court and seen a solicitor save a taxi driver from losing his licence. It's a no-brainer, but it won't be cheap.
