I'm in love!! I was a bit concerned I might not appreciate the differences from my 2008 V8VR and this V12V, but I really do! I've realised I much prefer the lines of the coupe and the cabin feels so much more spacious. Everything feels tighter and newer (3yrs newer, 40k less miles having something to do with it probably) the torque and power......wow, wow, wow. I've got a supercharged Exige that would just about pip this to 60, so I wasn't expecting to be blown away, but it is very obvious once off the line, the in gear speeds, my little plastic car wouldn't stand a chance. The noise is beautiful. I loved the noise of the V8, it was aggressive, angry sounding and very additive. Tunnels were my favourite haunt. The V12 noise is just.....more refined, more powerful sounded, has presence. The audio!! Well I had the bog standard 160w system in the V8. I thought that was pretty good. But the B&O system! Even at low volumes you can just hear the crispness. And then there is he colour!! It's the first thing people mention when they see it, what a beautiful colour it is, how it suits the car, makes it stand out but not in a brash way. I love the way it changes in different lights, eccentuates the curves by the change in colour on the angles. The pictures below, I haven't messed with filters, these are raw pictures straight from my iPhone.
Also want to give a public shout out to HWM and Stuart Parker. It was a good experience and even with a minor hiccup in the morning they sorted it out without too much fuss........ even sorted me out with a nice leather key pouch and a new set of valve caps. Will definitely be in touch with those guys for my next AM purchase.
Right, taken just a few pictures since I got the car. Some next Liam Payne (One Direction) new DB11. And no I didn't look in through the passenger side window envisaging Cheryl Coles (or whatever her name is now) bum will be sitting on that seat

I like everything about this car, except the satnav which I made the mistake of setting before heading off. I couldn't switch it off or turn down the volume and the map froze about 3 miles into the journey but the loud voice continued, lol! Even with all that I was grinning all the way! Whenever I pressed the loud pedal the back end would squirm and the traction control light would flicker but I didn't care because I was in an Aston Martin. I'm genuinly impressed with the amount of relentless shove these cars have but haven't been able to fully explore yet because of the cold damp conditions.
I'd also like to thank Tony Gardener at Aston Martin Cambridge for making my purchase a pleasurable one and getting the car prepared to a very high standard -
the Detailing guy really worked his magic!

OP, huge congratulations....but this isn't helping me! There's a MFW V12 Vantage for sale at AM Works just 5 miles down the road from me and I'm already having a hard enough time trying to stay away from it. HELP! I think my wife might be drafting the divorce papers if I change my car again!! I'm in love!! DO IT!!! I know the one you mean too. They are my most local dealer. I would have gone to look at that one but they really p!ssed me off last time I went there so wanted to exhaust other opportunities before biting my tongue and going back. Just make sure you ask to deal with Simon Stanton as apparently he is very good and you'll avoid the experience I had. SL550M said:

Sorry to add to your misery but during my search for my own new toy I recently looked at a Storm Black V12V at AM Works and it was parked next to the Morning Frost one I think you may be referring to. If it is the same car I can confirm it looked absolutely stunning. AstonExige said:
You have no idea!! Started getting some major doubts and pangs of sadness as I handed over my current vantage to the new owners. I love that car, the looks, the drive, sounded fantastic and being an early Vantage it was safe money.
This is where I am. I have a V8 Vantage, I don't know more than that, will look in log book. I love it. I truly love the car, the shape, the size, the red chancellor leather, the traditional aston martin colour. Looking at the next one up, but the thought of handing over the V8 gives me pangs.
I will stay Aston Martin for life, but it is a natural progression to go to a V12 or the V12 twin turbo.
I guess I will know if I watch every youtube video on the internet, read every article, and read every Pistonheads thread.
So will be in the V8 for a bit.
I will read rest of thread to see how you fared handing over the V8.
Decide quick, they are starting to get scarce! (v12v)
Mine's a recent storm black 7k miles. Got the Williams ceramic coat included in the deal to help prevent the swirls...
Didn't think I would like them, but the lightweight seats are tremendous!I can see why they are so sought after.
Fantastic car, great investment, but I'm not sure how long I can hold on to my licence though... anyone have any good advice or suggestions regarding dash cam/ radar detectors?.? HELP!

Indeed they are. Since the glut/over-supply late summer and autumn when the manual 7S was launched, there have hardly been any new ones come to market over winter, unlike last winter. And it is not just in the UK where supply is drying up. I regularly check the European markets and there is a distinct lack of original V12V for sale. There has been a drip drip in the US over the winter of cars coming to market but these are selling quite quickly. I'm thinking the situation isn't going to get any more fluid and supply will only get less and less particularly after the seven speed has finished production.

Thanks guys. I can't wait to pick it up. And to be able to see what theses V12's are all about
Interesting what was said in Vantage magazine. Doesn't surprise me. What did surprise me was how different it felt to my V8, and that was without exploiting the V12? Same sports seats too. I wouldn't have said no to a car with the lightweights but would have preferred the sports with the heated option and side airbags.
