Want a lift?
Hehe, thanks but, well I've cheated a little, I'm actually taking delivery on the 28th which is my birthday, then driving it home on trade plates (have to be accompanied by staff), and then after 3 days of polishing in the garage I will be able to take him for a blast on the 1st Jan, well that is assuming I don't consume too much bubbly on the night before!Want a lift?
But if you fancy coming down and taking a look on the 28th, or even going for a blast out somewhere on the 1st then drop me a PM as I'd be up for that!
I'll ping you a msg

Yep, I get that but with rave press reviews why have AML discounted this car so quickly?
Things must be bad
As others have said on here. STG 150k for what is fundamentally a 10 year old design with a (kind of) compromised manual gear box does not cut the mustard in today's market. The recent stable values of the V12V demonstrates all too clearly, that people having considered the new manual find the older car much better value hence the demand. So with the new V12VM, AML is largely competing against their own model line up rather than taking customers from Porsche & Ferrari. Things must be bad

Amazed the China Grey car has only done 2k miles if it was the demonstrator I drove. It seemed to be out and about all over the place. Perhaps they had more than one??
You are right, - I've just looked back through my pics and the China Grey V12VSM demo car, which I also test drove, had 15k miles at the time and lightweight seats, therefore it must be a different car, albeit otherwise almost identical in spec.https://used.astonmartin.com/en-GB/Search/Details~...

Oi!!! I'm sure you mean the second best V12VSM you have seen, after Kermit!!!
Just kidding, I realise not everybody is not quite a mental as me when it comes to colour choice!
The spec is rather nice - I've just done a quick tally up and it's £155k at full RRP for that spec. If I had been choosing one of the SP+ pack colour combos I'm not sure I would have short listed Skyfall with white graphics, but it really does look good. Much nicer than the china grey and yellow, which may well have been the combo I would have been more drawn to.
Back to Kermit - only 2 weeks now until he is road legal!

Thank you Adam for the link to this thread! I have attached the spec sheet from the dealer which I received before deciding to buy it (£160,350) so I feel quite comfortable with the price I paid at £132000. Im not the most experienced at buying Aston Martin so hoping this is a good deal??

Well this Skyfall Silver one is likely a demo, too. I had driven it at Wilmslow, or one just like it.
This is not the demo from Wilslow as I believe that car had the red calipers. This is the demo from Grange Brentwood but has been described in writing as being in 'as new condition'I have purchased it without looking at it or even driving one. Collecting this coming saturday. Fingers crossed!cymario said:

I knew about the £1995 CF vents, but £995 each for the black window surrounds, CF side stakes, and black brake calipers? And £495 for the black meshes? Indeed all good to have so well done, Cymario.
But these were all standard on my 2012.

Good dealer Brentwood and most of the cars i have seen there have been in top condition.12pack said:

It's a chalk and cheese comparison really as the spec has changed, so you can't just focus on the negatives, and it's also worth noting the spec has changed a little each year, not just one big jump this year.I knew about the £1995 CF vents, but £995 each for the black window surrounds, CF side stakes, and black brake calipers? Here are a couple of fairly significant positives to the latest year spec, compared to the old 2012 and before spec. Premium Audio is now std and no cost, whereas before it was £995 at introduction and £1495 by MY16. Also the base price of the car has barely changed in 7 years since it was introduced, in fact MY17 introduces the one and only 1.8% over the previous year.
So 7 years of inflation reflected in only a 1.8% rise - I can't think of another manufacturer who has only put up the price by this little in such a long time. This is why the spec has become optional, to give people the choice to add it in at cost, but the base car is cheaper in real terms than it ever was - something fairly key which I think people are overlooking.
I'm not seeking to defend AM here I should point out, just simply trying to balance the suggestion a little that AM have been underhand with the later years specs by charging for more items.
