On the market

Hi everyone

Ill be on the the market for a vxr8 in about a month or maybe before. I've tried to read up on the issues and the most worrying one is based around the manual gearbox. I did originally want a manual however this have skewed me slightly. Are they as I realble as it seems? I don't want to fork out then have to buy a new box. I've seen a few I like and most are manual. I have tried look on here and vxr online but haven't found a defined answer. Thanks in advance

Hi. I have had 3 VXR8’s, all manuals, and never had any issue. They are a bit clunky at the best of times but solid enough. I am in the market for another one and will only looking for a manual. Good luck with the search.

Ah well that's reassuring to hear, I guess the bad news is always broadcast more. Just didn't want to fork out a lot of money on a new one. Good luck to you too

Few people have had an issue with a manual and even fewer with an auto.

If it's one thing I'm good at it's lurking haha. Ah ok, it was just a worry going into a possible purchase. I'll be more open to it now. Just needed some reassurance I think

James (preciousmetal on these forums) usually has a good selection of cars and was good to deal with when I was buying my car. If you've not already done so, it might be worth checking if he has a car to your liking in stock or inbound.

Cheers for the invite Dave, I'm currently Carless so couldn't attend that. Definitely pop by to meets when I eventually have an r8. Also does anyone know who the admin is on th Facebook group? I've tried to join twice but keep getting put off
