Looking at my next car and I'm torn between the Evora S and F Type V8 R. Roughly about the same price point in Dubai (so overpriced!).

I used to have a 2010 XFR so I already know how lovely the Supercharged V8 is (although lacking S/C whine), but looking for some insight to the rest of the package...

Much less 'Luggage space' in the R due to no +2 unlike the Evora, but what is the actual 'boot' like?

No noise restiction as such in Dubai, so what aftermarket soot-pipes are available?

Consumables, what are prices like for brakes etc.

Anything to look out for? My XFR had the dashboard changed at 3 yrs old due to the sun here making them peel. Apart from that it was good as gold. Is the F the same?

Appreciate any advice from current/past owners. Cheers

I owned one for 12 months / 16,000 miles

you will not need an aftermarket pipe. the noise is EPIC, inside and outside the car.

the boot is huge, never had any issues

pretty reliable, aside from some niggly build issues ... mechanically reliable

superb car that really pulls on the emotional heart strings

The boot on the coupe is certainly big enough to be useful for me and the exhaust is quite loud as standard. Rev it in a multi storey car park and everyone around will know all about it.

I would imagine that the Lotus will not be able to waft down the road in a quiet and civilised manner type drive only to turn in to a hooligan around the next corner quite as well.

Boringly enough the only way to know which you prefer is to drive them. Just make sure it is a dry day if you are taking out the Shaguar or it has 4WD. You can spin the rears up at 60 in the wet in a straight line in the rear wheel drive ones.
