A friend of mine also had a test drive. All very good until he asked how long it took to recharge, using a 13amp household socket. A day trip to visit their relatives, would mean staying overnight, possibly two nights, if travelling by TESLA.
Having a Tesla I've not had this problem.

You haven't met his relatives.

And there is no supercharger stop near enough, to be able to make a polite escape.

Living currently (well, one more week) in the Netherlands, a Tesla is THE perfect car. You can go to anyplace in this country and return on the same day without charging. So having a good charger at home is sufficient. Also the streets are always crowded and you can't go more than 130 kmh (80 pmh), so the battery won't drain fast and the crappy brakes, stty high-speed endurance and the dumb ride in fast corners doesn't matter.

In bigger countries, it get's messy... but I'm sure the topic of range will be overcome, I'm more worried about the Tesla being a proper car when pushed to any (road-legal) limit.
