Mkii Golf Restoration Help

This is on behalf of my sister. She would like to restore her husbands MKII Golf Gti for his birthday.

She was thinking paint / interior at a cost no object approach.

Can anyone recommend some specialists in or around London/ Surrey? Preferably someone with a passion for VW/Golf.

Mechanically the car is sound.

There is some rust to the bonnet and and slight bubbling beneath the paint around boot edge. Interior has frayed stitches on seat bolsters.

Give John at JS Coachworks in Forest Hill a call. He resprayed my Mk2 Golf and sorted out the rust a couple of years ago. He'll 'bore' you with tales of his old Mk1 and had a very nice S5 when I saw him last time.
