Aviva were fantastic
Multi car- 2014 amv8 and 2014 msport touring 330 - £385 fully comp and guaranteed repairers
Had a road rager slam his anchors on and they sorted the bm out at no fault / no excess in hours
Top class

We are currently insuring 4 cars under one policy, one the Mrs daily driver, one a weekend driver (M2) and 2 occasional cars (Porsche 993 and a DBS) for around £1k. No one else could even come close. These guys understand that your most valuable cars are not going to be driven all the time and tailor the quote accordingly. They have been great.

I was quite shocked myself...I bit their hand off. Everyone's circumstances are different but the closest anyone else came was around £1600. I live in a half decent area (too nice for the likes of me) and have some decent NCB but even so.

Agreed and like you say we are all different when it comes to insurance quotes too. Age, driving record, where we reside etc etc all counts these days so good on ya for getting such a great quote.

After several fun filled hours phoning around I called my current insurer to advise them I'll be taking my custom elsewhere this year, after initially telling me they was no more room for negotiation on price they undercut everyone so I'll be staying where I am for another year, The V12V eventually came in at £540.

Thanks again for all the suggestions....

Kev

I got my V8V thro Saga (I know I know don't laugh !!) £286 fully comp protected but only 3000 miles per year (more than enough for me).

Might look into multicar as my Focus RS is around £250 and the everyday Octavia VRS is around £220.............all separate policies at the mo

Any of these decent insurers with nice quotes able to quote in London area? (my experience thus far is Admiral or bust, sadly)

Its probably best if you ring them all one by one and find out if they can.

Just go to a broker and let them do all the work - it won't cost u a penny.
Nothing wrong with Admiral providing you don't intend to claim and don't mind potential hassle when u do.

Well not a penny, but quite a few pounds.

Broker - Aviva = £520
Aviva directly = £360

The excess is higher though for the direct policy.

Jon , fair point but they won't just look at one company to quote.

I hate this sort of crap.

Nearly always possible to get the quote matched so you can tell your originals to stick it and not mess about next time.

There is zero loyalty warranted.

Depending on the cars you have in the fleet, Sky Insurance are quite good. I'm currently using MSM who are fantastic. Aon occasionally try hard but tend to get as pricey as Locktons and Chubb which is no good - yes, they have some decent benefits. But IME not materially enough to justify double the premium! (On an insurance that I have never had to claim against to date!).

Sad fact but you never know how good your insurer actually is until u need to claim.
