Just received this through the post. Totally unexpected. Thought it was a really nice touch.

I think they're dropping a hint about what you were wearing when you picked the car up AstonExige smile

But in all seriousness, it is a nice touch from them

When the letter said "custom made suit" I thought it was going to be a car cover getmecoat

Hi

I got one of these three years ago when I bought the Rapide S. I still go to Douglas now. He is a commensurate professional and so far I have had two suits, 20+ shirts and 5 sports coats from him, and some trousers and some ties... etc etc.

Anyway I highly recommend this service.

Was it a new or Timeless purchase? I am curious to see if they do this for all customers! We will see .... smile

You did not collect your new car wearing Red trousers did you??? LOL, that would explain the letter but I agree a very nice personal touch.

Had dealings with HWM myself yesterday again and all I can say is they are a superb group and very helpful and friendly unlike those ignorant tossers at NP. LOL

Based on what josh bear has said I'm guessing HWM don't pay anything for this. It's a free introduction of high net wealth clients to a suit maker. :-)

HWM are very good. My DB9 is with them now for its annual service. Might try Tom James as well as I need a couple of suits and a few shirts.

Sadly I was informed Wednesday that they are now ( Even though it stills says HWM on the wall ) they are no-longer known as HWM but now Aston Martin Waltham-On-Thames. I suppose its all part of AML's new image etc and AMWOT also eluded that they could be moving temp whilst their current building is demolished and a brand new dealership is built to reflect AML's new dealership building image. Nice albeit I quite liked their current sort of Art Deco style building. Its not listed either so they can knock it down. They estimate around 2 years in total once it starts which is still TBC.

Surprised they are changing the name lots of AM history associated with the name - first AM dealer in the world.

That's a real shame - as noted above there's a lot of history with that name (and the building I think).

I can't see that more space is needed (and if there is for the Aston side, do something with the Alfa/Jeep side or whatever is in there.

Progress...

I got a custom suit (and shirt) with my new Bentley back in 2012 - nice touch and a good promotional oppty for the tailors. Still it did have Bentley branded burgundy lining, which was rather nice...

Sorry, Walton on Thames!! LOL.

Murph7355

Indeed progress and they will still be the number 1 senior dealership in my eyes anyway. I have an affliation and loyalty to them as my car was supplied new there back in the day.

At least if they do get a new building it will look nice and smart. No sense really wasting money trying to tart up some old decrepid buildings to look good. NP springs to mind. Total waste of time money and effort IMHOP.
