Topgear series 2
Discussion
When is the comedy going to begin?
The presenters seem to think it is a programme about motor cars.
Well, that idea did not work when they tried it before.
Perhaps get some caravans and start taking the Mickey.
Series 3 might be changed to be about cooking, antiques or property improvements. Yawn.
Finally - Have you noticed how the BBC Countryfile presenters think all their viewers must have dementia?
They repeatedly announce during the programme, what is coming during the rest of the show. Some of us are still very fortunate, and have memories which work for more than ten minutes. Grrrrr. Not that I watch it anymore.

Hadn't watched any of the last two series and not much prior to that for a while. It had become a parody of itself and way too childish/not car oriented.
Watched 80% of it tonight as my 4yr old was struggling sleeping and this was likely a decent bet. I actually quite enjoyed it. And I hadn't even been drinking.

I didn't watch the original series - thought it (and the presenters) were awful.
Quite liked series 1 of the new show, although it was right to get rid of Evans.
Saw the first episode of series 2, and wasn't impressed - seemed like they'd removed anything that made the format different from the original series and now were simply different presenters doing the same show. Haven't watched episode 2 yet, but it's likely I will give up on it soon.

I'm just amazed that the BBC didn't take this opportunity to change the.... what is it now.....15 year old format? No fresh ideas and all we end up with is comparing the presenters. I like TG and GT (I've even stooped to recording FG) because I like cars, but I wish there was something other than the personnel to differentiate them.
I couldn't watch the 3 stooges before they left on their Grand Tour and struggled with Chris Evans in series 1. I was a lifelong fan until he created a new persona just for Top gear. Awful.
Series 2 and I'm good with the line up but as said above why the production team are forcing old ste on us again is a mystery.
Kazakhstan ??????????????
In bangers ??????????????
and then not even knowing what to do so finishing with a one day mileage challenge????
Please!!!!!
Pathetic programming and I'm disappointed that my hero CH didn't stamp his foot and flatly
refuse to do crap like that.

I am quite enjoying it especially now Chris Evans and Sabine Schmitz have gone.I like Chris Harris and think he comes across really well and over time they will all get better as said above.
I don't think Sabine has gone, I believe she'll be making an appearance on and off.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
