For my sins I tend to only listen to R2But come on, R4????!!!!
An honourable draw?
I am a selective R4 listener. I always listen to the Today programme (vital download on what is happening in the World before I go to work) and the comedy on at 6.30pm when I can (it will turn up on TV eventually and everyone will rave about it).
The DB9 can not get a decent signal for R4 where I live (every other car I own can) and as I approach central London it starts to occassionally lock on to some random station for a few bars of some charming ditty like "Smack my bh up" before reverting to some politician lying his arse off on the Today programme.
And as for Test Match Special on long wave, good luck! All I can find is hiss.
I hope the Alpine unit and the windscreen aerial of my 09MY will be better.

You're probably correct but it is pretty poor that AM cannot get something as simple as FM radio reception right
Don't get me wrong, I'm not excusing it. And yes it is poor.To be honest, I think the electronics bods at AM have been turned over by their counterparts at Alpine.
Alpine are usually very good at this stuff, but keep ballsing up at Aston. I suspect Alpine had a job lot of old gear they needed to get shot of and managed it with AM
How else can the radio be explained, and the crud pre-08 ipod integration (which can now be fixed for ~1,200GBP!).
