After last years amazing day we are in the planning stage for this year, Last year was very unplanned and seemed to just snowball but what a day, so this year we intend to organise it properly, the theme will be the same as in anybody and everybody will be welcome as will any car, we hope to invite even more children than last year again with various disabilities and illneses just to put smiles on faces and build some great memories and take as many as possible for a ride out, The key difference will be to raise money for a few childrens charities, we have one in mind (umbrella)and are open to suggestions for one to two more,

We will be having an auction and just two of the items we will be putting into the auction from ourselves will be a service for an Aston Martin on the models we cover as listed for the exhaust prize this will be for what ever your next service is due, the other main item will be a sports exhaust either a rear box for a vanquish, DB9, V8/V12 vantage or DBS or a centre section for a DB7 Vantage (this will be A DMS sports exhaust including fitting or delivery), there will be various others items which will be listed on our website prior to the day, If you have any items you would like to donate for the auction this will be really gratefully appreciated,

We intend to have the day on the 26th of september which will be Sunday again, if you would like to attend please let us know so that we can calculate numbers,

Thanks Rick Kay and the team,

Great timing Rick, we are going down to Circuit Des Remparts in Angouleme with Area 20 of the AMOC and we get back on 21st September. Just time for a "wash and brush up" before the trek from Devon to Derby, regards Lord Brett

Hey Rick,
Unfortunately I am back in Canada on 26th Sept so will not be able to attend this year. mad
The best I can do is make an "overseas" telephone bid for the service or the sports exhaust.
Good luck with it. Hope it's as good or better than last years.
Regards
Ant & Chris.;)

Me too. Was the most rewarding event I did last year. I think you'll have Aston's pretty much covered if it's like last years, so depending on the weather I'll bring the pagoda. Will check out the auction too.

Think that date ties in well with my next service, gives me 2 good reasons to take a drive up.

Didn't make it last year due pressure of work etc :-( but count us in this time - count us in (V8V).

Conveniently (and no co-incidence I'm sure) it's after the revival !

BTW what sort of items would you like for the auction ?

Cheers,

Chris

Hi all and what a great start, here is how things are going at the moment,

We are setting up a dedicated web page for this event which i will post a link when completed, also the auction will be on line so anybody donating any items will see how they are doing and how much is raised this should be set up within the next week, I intend to close the auction two weeks before the open day , this will enable us to gather the funds, so cheques can be presented on the day to the charities,

The charities will be umbrella who attended last year and rainbow a national charity that supports children with life threatening or terminal illness, the money raised will be split 50/50 between the two, I am hoping to get someone from the motoring world to give out the cheques on the day but at the moment I have not got a clue where to start and contact such people, (any ideas?).

As last year the day will be open to other sports cars and classics so please let any body know who may be interested, The idea is to put as many smiles on faces as possible and as soon as i know how many can attend i can organise how many children we can invite for the drive out, Thank you all again for supporting us in this,

Hi,

I have just heard that I won a raffle and the prize is a football signed by the Reading football team. I would like to donate that to the auction. Just let me know how.
