Ah ha, Alec, I was going to come over and have a look at your lovely Lagonda but you dashed off just about 5 mins after I arrived around 11am.

I've followed your occasional words about the Lagonda on Pistonheads over the years and didn't realise it was you, even more disappointed now not to have been able to say hello. Were you on a tight schedule or something?

oh god sorry. I took a lady for lunch. I came back about 2 to the public car park area to drop her off but it was peeing it down so I decided to get on the road back to Essex. It was a lovely day though despite melting the HT cables in traffic for the Dartford tunnel.

Ah yes, I noticed you had a lady in the car with you as you drove off! Fortunately soon after 2 it stopped raining and by 3 we were eating ice creams by the rowing lake. Still, I'm sure there'll be a next time. biggrin

Lovely! How/why did a UK registered LH drive car end up in the USA? Because it was the only one in that colour?

Ireland - what a beautiful part of the World - just a shame about the condition of some of the roads .

A US model delivered to the buyer at the factory, who then did a little tour of the continent for several weeks before returning the car to the factory to be shipped to the AM dealer in the US. I found this photo a couple years ago, thinking it was the same color as mine, never realizing till the other day that it was actually my car, not a duplicate!

Nice way to take delivery of your Aston!

Different guy. It was the same gentleman who commissioned the Centenary DB9 Zagato Volante, now up for auction at Monterey during Pebble Beach week, so a good 'provenance' for my DBS.

That is a beautiful car, arguably one of the best looking Aston's ever .
It has a wonderful muscularity about it that is quite intoxicating and manages to look aggressive even when motionless.

That's not an Ulster Albert, but a later 2 Litre Speed model which was bodied in an Ulster style. Giveaways are: i) the radiator is the wrong shape for an Ulster but ii) the most obvious sign that it's got a 2 litre engine is that he exhausts exits on the driver side rather than the passengers.
