Hi, Many thanks to all, for the help with N400 Sills, I will keep you posted on the price. Anyone have any info on the carbon splitter and diffuser, the aston prices are fairly dear, are there any other options?

I think these are £2395+vat from the factory. Your dealer may be able to get you a discount if the factory have these in surplus? You may get 10%. Don't think you'll find originals anywhere else.

Bugger - I really didn't need to know that! I was only looking today at the differences (or options not fitted yet) to my car 'v' the N420.
Note to self - must not spend more money!

Any better pics of these options - those on the AM website are not that good.

there are a few in development, but demand is quite low the Aston Martin kit currently has not proven popular, most likely the price, I must admit though it does look great on the car,"cue for Steve to post some pictures" The Aston Martin kit does come as a kit and the items are not listed separately, which does mean you can not purchase just the diffuser or splitter, which seems a shame, don't worry though if you have the kit and damage one as on order the chassis number is taken so individual replacements will be available, I have not seen any pricing on yhe individual parts though,

Graham- yes the N420 has these on as standard as well as lots of other extra trim nicities! Maybe the N420 is the last of the current Vantage variant so they're running stocks down of parts?

No prices by the look of it?

Like the carbon side strakes. I wonder how much it would cost to put some indicator LEDs in those, and fill and paint the original ones...

no cheaper than the official parts then, by the time you have vat, duty, shipping, fitting etc

I think Rick from DMS was doing a good deal on them fitted at one point IIRC?

I've just fitted an aftermarket diffuser and splitter to my 2006 V8 Vantage, it's a brilliant upgrade and was only half the price of the original AM ones. If anyone is intersted I will post pics later.
I've got some side skirts coming shortly, these add ons are great, cheaper to overhaul the car than to buy a newer model - do you guys agree?

certainly its usually cheaper to spend a couple of grand on your own car, than £20K upgrading ...but then you do get a few more bits as well on the 4.7 models smile

post some pics, Ive always fancied splitter/diffuser but put off by AM prices, I dont need carbon bits, plain body colour GRP would be fine for me ...I just dont like the chicken wire mesh at the back on the standard car...ive had to hammerite mine as it was going rusty !

Having problems uploading the photos right now. I'll have them listed before next weekend as I've got a busy week coming up at work.

I agree that the carbon fibre finish does not enhance the parts that much, it's only really noticeable when close up. Mine is black and I think it provides more of a contrast. The mesh is powder coated aluminium, which should withstand the elements.

Sorry guys,

I still haven't got round to uploading the photos, I'm away on business and have had to stay longer than expected.

I'll get them on here when I'm back this week and you can let me know your thoughts.

The prices for the original AM parts and other production companies are still phenomenal, my diffuser only cost £749 and the splitter was £400. They are produced from carbon fibre but finished in satin black. Unlike the AM diffuser kit, I could also purchase each one separate from the other as there was no necessity to buy them both as a package.

The side skirts (which are due to arrive with me in a couple of weeks) were priced at £699, I'm really looking forward to getting these on the car.

Since you asked... Personally, no, I don't agree. To each his own, but IMO, the V8V design looks better in its original form than it does with any of the changes that have been made to it, either by AM itself (it's own sills, splitters and diffusers, including S and V12V) or any aftermarket company. The original is beautifully clean, with not a single unresolved line, and I don't think anyone has improved on it.

Pictures are on the way for those interested.

The parts were obtained from a company called A.M.Styling - there's no website for them but they can be contacted by e-mailing amstyling@hotmail.co.uk
