Witnessed a mate spinning his tyres in 3d in a tunnel on Corsa's (cold wet day) with a V12 and was rather surprised eek.
Put PSS on mine and really really like them compared to admittedly quite worn tuggy Bridgestones. Just better in every respect - who wants to be on tenterhooks with a costly car if its British weather time!

They are cup 2's which leaves you with the same problem as corsas.

Pilot Super Sports are the better bet. Best of both worlds with the big plus of rim protection on the outside.

Errr, the Pirelli P-Zero is a different tyre to the Pirelli P-Zero Rosso. There are 4 versions of the P-Zero, the std, the Corsa, the Nero and the Rosso.

Not heard of anybody fitting Rosso's to a V12V before? In fact I'm not even sure the Rosso is available in the V12V rear size?
Trofeo and Trofeo R tyres, being pedantic, are also P Zeros

The only tyres I'm aware of with an AM designation (which are suitable for V12V) are indeed Pirelli 'regular' P zero, P zero corsa and winter tyres

Having got to "grips" (pun intended) with the car over the last several days I've decided to hold on to the Corsas until they need replacing. The weather seems to be getting a lot better now and most importantly you can feel well in advance if the tyres are about to slip so can take appropriate action.

The most amazing thing for me was driving on a completely drenched motorway in the rain with it being 3 degrees outside and the car feeling completely planted.

Yep, I've mastered this car already... (!)

Famous last words... wink

Sorry, i thought the GT12 was on cup 2's but as you say...

So are they also AM8 marked? If not it kind of makes a mockery of the whole manufacturer specific tyre thingy.

Reminds me of when we were in Germany on tour in the V12VR when it was on Corsas. It was pouring down, around freezing and a sign came up saying "aquaplaning" to which I responded I know it's
fucensoreding acquaplaning - but I was very impressed with the personal signage smile

I wonder if that's the nicest thing that has happened to me in an Aston idea

hehe nice of them to warn you

I'm a true convert to the PSS's
My little M135i has done 51k miles on them, the rears have done 27k and still don't bat an eyelid at standing water or the cold.
The inspire so much confidence I put them on the last Aston, the performed as expected.
I have P Zeros on the McLaren and they really don't like the cold frown
I will be looking to put the PSS's on when they are used up.

When I took delivery of my V12VSR, my dealer warned me to be careful of the Corsa's in the rain, he said they were 30% less efficient as a normal road tyre in the wet. Well, I set off and crossed France from North to South in torrential rain, really awful weather with standing water, I couldn't go very fast and was very wary of the tyres but I was amazed how well they coped, I never ever felt like I was aquaplaning. In truth I never went any faster than about 80 MPH/130 KM/H but providing you are careful in the rain they are OK. And with enough temperature in the tyres they are really amazing in the dry in mild weather. I'll definitely keep my Corsa's but they're probably more adapted to my climate than the UK's!
