Vantage V8 battery replacement.
Discussion
I would download a copy of the workshop manual for future reference.

It is detailed in there how to remove the rear quarter panel and get to the battery. It references multiple sections with 2 pages of pics - sorry too big to copy n paste here.

Replaced battery on my roadster slightly different metal trim across front of battery but apart from that all as described above and l should think much easier access than the coup with the hood down. As a warning to all l found that the earth terminal tapper lock nut had been replaced with a standard nut and although all looked good it had the effect of poor continuity to earth and replacement of a perfectly good battery.
I'm just about to order a new battery for mine. I'm also looking at the Bosch S5 013.
Does fitting a more powerful battery have any adverse affects on the electronics? Or am I better off with a 720A / 90Ah Varta?
Thanks!

I couldn't find much guidance on what battery to install, but I went for a Bosch S5 013 (above) which was £120 from Costco.
Physically it's a perfect fit against the OEM Varta, but is also rated higher (specs are 830A and 100Ah vs 680A and 90A for the Varta.

I too have replaced my battery myself (2011 DBS) and it's really not a bad job.
Just remove the cover and disconnect the battery - had nothing like a meltdown when reconnected. In fact, I often disconnect it during the winter completely to stop it draining my battery when I can't get my charger plugged in (2011 DBS doesn't have a disconnect switch).
Just take your time and make sure you don't disconnect any of the fuses etc next to the battery.
Good luck!

Just wanted to say that I actually had our good friends at Halfords replace my battery and for £15 they come to your house and will fit it. I was slightly skeptical that they would turn up and say sorry that is a bigger job than a normal car but the guy spent 45 min replacing the battery with the upmost care. At £15 it was a bargain.
I have a V8V convertible...replaced it myself - the carpets and trim are a little difficult but take your time and it'll work out. To get the sliding brackets off it helps to tilt them slightly upwards at the largely free end...then they cam off fine.
Remember to replace the drain tube and the plug (other side) so the battery doesn't vent into the car.
I bought the battery from Advanced Auto parts (this is for USA readers) several in stock - thy too offer "free fitting" but frankly I didn't trust the process and still did it myself. The cost (after core swap) was $179.95 plus tax. A bargain - they had a AGM variant too.
