Finally, after seeing a silver DBS coupe coming up West Hill out of Wandsworth numerous times, I actually happened to be in my Aston this morning.

My cheery wave was returned and all was well with the world

Bumper day today. Black DBS on the M4 Eastbound and dark silver DB9 on the M40 southbound.

As well as seeing two Aston Martins I also saw my first Cygnet - also on the M4. It looks like someone covered an iQ in glue and got a blind man to drive it round Aston Martin's parts department. They also, in a valiant effort to make it look even more odd, painted it in a weird yellow/green colour. I suspect it's Reading's demonstrator. I can't imagine anyone had actually bought it.

A lovely blue DB7 Vantage in Alderley Edge tonight. Really was beautiful.

For the first time tonight I saw another Glacial Blue V8V Roadster. I was in mine but I don't think the other car noticed me as I was waiting to turn out of a junction near Marble Arch when it went across. Sadly though the top was up on an evening like tonight!

An absolutely STUNNING dark (green?) V12 Vantage heading towards London on the M4 at around 7pm on Sunday evening. Fantastic.

Had spotted a yellow diablo just moments before. The M4. Gotta love it

Just got back from the Continent: 1,942 miles at 22.7mpg at an average speed of 48mph. Fuel: more expensive in France and Germany than Blighty ...but WAY cheaper in Luxembourg!

Spotteds:

- Sat July 30th - light/mid blue V8V in Austria. Near the German/Austria border - we were heading fr the Zugspitze, late morning

- Mon Aug 1st - 2 - a V8V followed by a Rapide, both in Luxembourg (city). Both silver/grey...I got a better look at the Rapide and it looked meteorite to me

- Today - Reading Services at 1.00pm. Light blue DB9 parked in front of us. Reg __54 KEV (I think it looked like 'Yes 4 Kev' from memory). Chap exchanged polite waves at us

And that was it!! In the best part of 2 weeks

Saw at least 5-6 Ferrari's in London alone (common ... ) and quite a few muscle cars on the Continent (Mustangs, Pontiacs, etc) as well as plenty of Masers and Ferrari's.

Car is minging and will be getting a bath tomorrow
